By this point, most of us have the work from home thing down and I’m finally reaching for jeans and makeup at least a couple times a week (which is saying a lot compared to where we were to start the process last year). Don’t get me wrong, I’m in lounge and activewear a lot of the time but I do like reaching for a few things to upgrade my WFH look. I feel like an extra 10 minutes goes a longggg way when putting myself together in the morning and I’m more motivated when I put in a little effort.
With the kids only being in school a couple hours a week and all the at-home time lately, I wanted to round up some things we’ll be doing this year to still make the holiday special. My kiddos love this holiday and I know it’s usually because of all the social interaction (…and candy obviously) but since they can’t do their usual thing, I found some other ways they can still enjoy Vday! Whether you have kiddos or you’re just looking for a way to celebrate with your man or Galentine’s style (a personal fave!), here are 10 ideas…
After polling you girls on if you’d like a look into our recent schedule, it seemed like a lot of you were into it so I wanted to whip this post up. I’m always interested in how people’s day-to-days look and seems you girls are too! TBH our days are ever changing this year but lately this is our daily routine- short school days and homeschooling included. Hope you girls are all hanging in there if your schedules are still looking different too!
New year, new nothing?! Ha don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to see a new year and to have a fresh start but I think we all knew 2021 wasn’t going to THAT different from 2020. We’re more settled into our restrictions and at-home orders but I think we can all agree that the past 10 months have been really hard in a lot of ways. As I mentioned in my Fitness Confessions and 2021 Goals I’m working on lessening the wine (for better overall wellbeing) and focusing on myself and my health a bit- and I’m also trying to find ways to feel good along with all the heaviness and anxiety of this past year.
Now that I’ve covered 2021 fitness goals which is a major focus of mine for the new year (and lessening the wine consumption…), it’s time to tackle something else that’s veryyy necessary in our home right now. Between everyone at home, the holidays, and not a ton of structure, our house has definitely gotten messy. Time to reign things back in and go back to my own advice on ways to organize things- which honestly makes the days go much smoother in general.
Alright ladies taking a break from fashion and beauty this morning to chat all things tidying. Homeschool started today so I’m on an organization kick right now. I’m pretty diligent about trying to keep our house tidy (at least all the common areas) because it always makes me feel better mentally and the days just go smoother if the house isn’t a disaster from the get go. I try to clean up throughout the day as we go, or wake up before the kids and do a quick sweep of the house if I didn’t get to it the night before. And then I’m always looking for quick hacks to keep things tidy without a ton of effort. Here are a few of my go-to’s for that…

I’ll be honest, a trampoline is one thing I NEVER wanted in my backyard but enter Week 3 of quarantine and herrrrre we are. I had a trampoline growing up and loved it, but here in SoCal our backyards aren’t very big. We only have a small area of grass so a trampoline was something I never thought I wanted in our backyard but have to say, it’s been our new best friend during this quarantine. I always get asked where we got ours so today I’m sharing it along with some others at all price points (…if you’re in need of a little sanity-saving as well).
Week four of quarantine and it’s safe to say we’re settling into our new norm. The kids are home from school for the rest of the year so between all four of us home and trying to homeschool, cook, work, and live somewhat normal lives, we’re relying on online services more than EVER right now. We’ve actually been using some of these services since forever but some I’ve recently subscribed to because it’s #necessary and thought I would share with you girls too. If you have any other services you’re loving right now too, pllllease share!
Hey babes, I know we’re all struggling in our own ways, some more than others, and we’re all trying to support each other however we can. One silver lining about this situation is how I’ve seen people stepping up to help others – and I think once we can all go about our normal lives, everyone will be little nicer to each other – I hope! While we’re social distancing and stuck inside, I wanted to offer a few ideas for those of you looking to help. Some cost money, some don’t, but I hope there’s something on this list that sounds good to you. PLEASE add any other ideas on how to help in the comments since I know I’m leaving a lot out. But this is what we’ve been doing so far…
