Today i’m doing a Honeybee Health post as you girls have been requesting one and it’s been a minute so here we gooooo with some random shots lately….
A lot of you had asked about how I don’t gain weight when i’m on vacation so I wanted to dedicate this weeks Honeybee Health post to sharing what I order when we travel. If you girls have been following along over the years I am sure you have heard me say this before but CONSISTENCY is key! When I see people trying these fad diets or juice cleanses I just know they aren’t going to have long term results. Making healthy changes that you can stick with year round is what it’s about ladies! When I travel I know my splurges are most definitely going to be lots of yummy adult beverages (that’s my splurge of choice), so I make sure that my cleaning eating still stays on track! So here are some random shots from our Cayman trip and how I eat while on vacation….
I have to say for me, the hardest part of staying on track on vacation is the airplane/airport food. A lot of times your in a rush or maybe you’re in a section of airport where you don’t have a lot of healthy restaurant options (like Starbucks bc I can always find something healthy there).
Hellllo ladies! We are currently out of the country at the moment (follow along on Snap if you’d like! AndeeLayne) but as promised here is this weeks Honeybee Health post the kids edition. I’m sure you moms know how picky our little ones can be with their food but today I’m sharing all the goodies that are always a hit in our household! As mentioned we took a long flight yesterday and this was the stash I had in my diaper bag. I love having wholesome bars, pouches and treats in my bag and also in our suitcase for when we arrive. I don’t know about you but I feel like my little ones snack ALL day when we travel so having healthy options on hand always makes me happy. Luca has been teething a lot lately and on the really bad days sometimes he doesn’t want to eat much at all. These pouches and those melt away yogurt snacks are always a winner with him, even on those days. On another note those freeze dried pears were so good I stole some too! Grocery Cart Check In My babes love all kind of fruit so I always stock up on those.
Out to breakfast (and HANGRY;) I had an egg white omelette with spinach, onion and feta. I also had a little of this yogurt parfait and took the rest to go.Another favorite breakfast of mine, the steel cut oats from Le Pain! It comes with banana, walnuts, flax seeds and a little maple syrup and it is HEAVENLY! Always happy to see all this color in my shopping cart! I would say 50% of my cart ends up being from the fruit and veggie section of the grocery store. Side note, the guacamole and mango salsa from Whole Foods are go to’s of mine. We use them on so many different dishes and they are so convenient! I posted this Acai Bowl on instagram last week and it was delish! At Nekter Juice Bar they can add greens and peanut butter to it (I know sounds gross) but it was actually pretty darn good! I try to share my bowls with the little ones because sometimes the portions with Acai bowls can be huge.
Happy Wednesday babes! It’s time for a Honeybee Health post and this one’s dedicated to all things Starbucks! I have had a couple of you email/comment asking about what I order there so today’s post i’m sharing all my go to orders… so lets get down to it! Let me just start by saying we LOVE Starbucks! I am the big coffee drinker in the house but I really love Starbucks more for the fact that they always have healthy options and are so up to date with new products! In Orange County were so lucky to have so many healthy restaurant options but when we’re back east, in an airport, or traveling I get SO excited when I see a Starbucks. We literally stock up on stuff like we’re at a grocery store because we know they have healthy options and eventually someone will eat whatever we purchased. Even our kids love their stuff! (PS this is not a sponsored post 😉 As for coffee’s honestly I just don’t waste my calories on the sugary ones. About 5 years ago my go to used to be a non fat latte with a Splenda or one of those sugar free lattes.
Alright my lovely ladies, as promised i’m sharing my “Day in Meals” post today. Let me start by saying something I have completely lagged in lately is my meal prepping (you girls remember I used to do it all the time back in the day?!) and my workouts. I feel like ever since Mr. Luca came life just went into overdrive and took busy to another level. Also blogging may seem like an easy breezy thing but trust me when I say it takes up ALOT of time. Okay sorry for the rant but I am on a mission to figure out a better balance so I can get back to regular meal prepping and workouts! All that being said I think making conscious decisions about what I am putting into my body has helped a lot with staying in shape. So here’s what a typical day in meals looks like for me…. The kids are up and at em’ by 6:30 every morning so I start with COFFFFEEEE. I use organic half and half creamer and a little agave. After about an hour I start to get hungry so i’ll have these Van’s Protein Waffles with a little peanut butter and a little agave or syrup.

You ladies know I love a good grocery find and I’m always on the hunt for yummy, filling, and wholesome food for my family.
