How We Decorated for Halloween

It’s no secret that I am obsessed with all things Halloween. As the kids get older I swear each year just gets better and better! It’s SO fun seeing the excitement through their eyes and I love creating all these fun memories for them. From home decor to special treats and festive PJ’s, we go all in around here! So whether you girls are looking for a tablescape for the holiday or Halloween decor ideas around the house, I’ve got you!

With this being our first year in the new house I couldn’t wait to see all the new places I could decorate. I went through all Halloween Decor from over the years and condensed it down to only my favorites.  These 3D Bats are a staple in our home every year and the kids always ask when they’re coming out. We have this amazing brick wall in our new home that I couldn’t wait to decorate it! (safe to say I went a little extra this year 😉

I like to keep the coffee table simple and chic by just adding a few pieces (that are constantly be rearranged by my little helpers 😉 I shared these skulls on instagram and i’m obsessed! I also shared How We Decorate Pumpkins earlier this month so I added a few the kiddos did to the table too.

Did I mention this is their best. month. EVER! The kids get SO excited for Halloween and basically candy overload. I always love getting festive pajamas for them so here are a few of our favorites…..

and the kids always love a little popcorn surprise! We make popcorn and toss in a few gummies, m&m’s and a new edition this year…marshmallows. Needless to say they go straight for the toppings first 😉

and last but not least our bar! So we don’t really have a mantle in our new home but we do have this amazing bar space that I have had so much fun styling! It’s pretty much the focus in our living room so wanted to go all out there. Spider webs, crows, skulls and my that electric BOO sign all seemed like the perfect fit!

For the Table

and if you’re throwing a party and missed my Halloween Tablescape post be sure to check out my full psot! It was so fun to create and i’ll share a few of the pieces here if you girls like to decorate your dining table too.

adding a Black Linen Table Runner  is an easy to add for a little color and texture! Then choose our accessories to go on top.

I Love a skeleton moment and even more when they’re detailed and not too scary for the kiddos. Really into this Floral Version or this Unique Symbol Skull, too. I also love to add some simple Black Candle Skeletons lit up and mixed in, too! I went a little crazy with these and put them all around the house, but it makes for such a fun moody month.

Into this Sleek Black Candelabra for the center of the table or on an entry table by the front door. You could even do fake candles if you have little little ones. Also gotta have tall Dramatic Booker Candlesticks placed throughout the tablescape. Texture and different height dimension in a tablescape is key!

Last up, these Skeleton Arm Servers are a little freaky and a lot of fun. They even work to place around the house as decor when you’re not hosting! Needless say they’re a favorite for Luca too;)

When hosting, this Marble Grey Cheese board is a staple in this house and so pretty!  Also obsessed with this pretty Glass Pedestal Bowl for finger food or all the candy and this Glass Covered Tray for the main course.

For the Drinks

Serve this mama up some wine in this Skeleton Wine Glass please! You can’t go wrong with these Retro Rimmed Coupe Glasses for more adult drinks! I love the vintage feel.

I also like to have a bar area set up where people can help themselves, plus it adds extra decor. For a fun touch, this Skeleton Bar Set is super cute and less than $40. The hubby picked out this Glass Skeleton Decanter but luckily I loved it too and it was approved 😉

To store the champagne or wine in, I’m all about this Silver Bottle Holder – it looks so pretty and can be used for any kind of event you have.

Alright girls, that’s about it! Hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I did! Happy Halloween month!

  1. Hi, love your decor style. Where is the dinning table from if you wouldn’t mind sharing?
    Much thanks

    1. that’s a good question! Honestly i’ve purchased them a couple times over the years. The key is getting the 3D ones that you have to bend the wings. They look more like they’re flying

  2. Please tell me how you got your spider webs so classy and lovely! Where did you buy your webs? how did you work them to be so thin and beautiful like that? Tell me all your tips, please!
Also, LOVE LOVE LOVe everything about your home and decor. They’re MINIMALIST and clean, but still gives the heart all the Halloween feels.
