Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm + Giveaway! (Sponsored Post)

(All sample products reviewed were provided by Revlon)

Alright ladies, today I’m reviewing Revlon ColorBurst™ Matte Balm and Lacquer Balm. You already know I’m a huge fan of drug store makeup and these chubby crayons are awesome! Texture and color payoff are the two MUST factors for me when choosing my lip products, and these balms met my expectations in both departments! I’m not into sticky or chalky textures on my lips and the texture of these were perfect! They are infused with a triple butter complex of shea, mango and coconut butter which left my lips feeling super hydrated and moisturized!

How pretty is the packaging?! These chubby crayons are also retractable so no need for sharpening!
Here are the swatches with no flash (Left to right: Lacquer Balms – Demure and Vivacious. Matte Balms- Striking and Audacious)

Here I am wearing the Revlon ColorBurst™ Matte Lip Balm in Striking with a little lip liner. It’s the perfect subtle red. It gives a nice pop of color but is not too over the top.

In this picture I am wearing Audacious with a little lip liner. I love this pink! It’s the perfect color for an everyday look.

  1. my go to beauty tip is just BB cream! im a new mom and thats all i seem to have time for! i always carry a lipstick in my diaper bag and sometimes slap that on in a parking lot, haha! these balms look so smooth!

  2. Hmm since this is a post on bold lip colors, I will say my secret beauty tips would be to put concealer or foundation around your lips so your color doesn't bleed and to always put your lips around your finger as you draw it out to remove any inner lip color which may transfer to your teeth!

  3. My go to beauty tip is eyeliner. I can be rushing out the door, running late and eyeliner is quick and easy. It makes me look like I'm alert even if I've had barely any sleep. Seems like the lip balms would be a great addition!

  4. my go to beauty tip? Lining my water line with a white kohl pencil. it instantly makes me look awake, when i feel like a walking zombie!

BTW, i have been hunting these down and cannot seem to locate these in NYC. fast sellers!

  5. My tip is double cleansing. I use an oil based cleanser first to remove all makeup and spf, then something more bubbly to really cleanse my skin. It has changed my skin for the better.

  6. Like to bold red goes really well with the red top you are wearing! can you share details about the red top too? Looking forward to wearing red this holiday season.

  7. Love the red color, it goes well with the red top you are wearing. Can you please provide details about the top? I am looking forward to wearing red on my lips and on my clothing this holiday season.

  8. Have you ever thought of doing a video tutorial for applying liquid eyeliner? Or is there one you recommend? I'm interested in trying it out but I know I'll need some help.

  9. These look really good, will be checking them out at Rite Aid soon. My go to beauty tip is to wear a smoothing primer to make my makeup last and hide imperfections.

  10. I think my go to tip is mascara. I think that if there is only one thing you can wear, it should be for your eyes or lips. My eyes, are better than my lips- so that's what I go with!
You look gorgeous by the way! Love the colors!
    Thanks!

  11. My favorite beauty tip has to be Johnson and Johnson Baby Oil Gel to get sparkling silky legs! A little drop right after I shower and shave and my legs literally look airbrushed!

  12. Andee, you are so gorg!!!- I typically keep it easy-breezy during the week as I work in an office building and have about 25 minutes to get ready in the morning! I am not a huge fan of concealer so I love-love the Almay BB Cream. It's so easy to use, goes on smoothly without feeling like I have a painted on face!

  13. I saw another reader recommended double cleansing and I've done it for a long time. But recently I've taken an extra step to dry/wipe off my face between washes and it is amazing how much more clean my face is afterwards. Almost no need for toner!

  14. Learning to line my waterline, upper and lower has made such a huge difference to my eye looks. It takes a while to get used to it, but I do it everyday, regardless of how much makeup I have on.

  15. Contour and mascara! Contouring your face with bronzer and a highlighter has changed the way of view myself ( does wonders for pictures). I always ha too little or too much blush but contouring gave me the right amount of color and definitions. And well mascara…. never leave home without it!!!

  16. Such a beautiful shot of color especially on a nude face! Well, for you all you need is a little lipstick babe…flawless!

My secret go-to beauty tip is using castor oil to lengthen and strengthen lashes. I typically have extensions on but in between when I need a breather I go straight to Mother's and pick myself up a teeny little bottle of the castor, brush it along my lash line, and watch Mother Nature work her miracles! Thicker, longer, fuller, it's like I don't need the extensions but I'm a glutton for maximalism! haahhaha Oman it's hard work being a girl! ;D

Thank you for the blog visit love! Would love to get your thoughts on my latest!

  17. My secret tip is that I darken my eyebrows with hair color every so often. The color even gets some of those little hairs that are lighter than the rest, so my eyebrows look filled in without having to use pencil or brow powder every day =)

  18. I use extra virgin olive oil on my face at night. It really moisturizes my skin (without causing me to breakout) and it makes my skin glow!

  19. wash your face 2x a day and drink at least 1 gallon of water a day. These 2 tips keep my skin super clear and hydrated 🙂 I NEED to know how you made that gorgeous Cat Eye! Vid Tutorial pretty please :)?

  20. My go to beauty tip is when I am using liquid eyeliner, I always make three dots first and then connect them, it's so easy to get a perfect line that way!

  21. Oh I can't wait to try Audacious. I'm always searching for the perfect matte coral lip. My beauty secret is Korean BB cream. I've tried everything stateside and none of it can compare to the Etude House Precious Mineral All Day Strong BB Cream (phew, that's a mouthful!). Amazing stuff. Oh and I'm totally addicted to my Tarte Marajuca oil.

  22. I have under-eye circles and my tip is to put concealer only on the sides of the eye, then blend inward (and down). It looks more natural than covering up the whole area.
    madelinebrubaker {at} gmail [dot] com

  23. I love mascara and even on those days where I don't feel like painting on my whole face, I can always count on mascara to make me look more awake and put together!

  24. My go to- Vaseline… I use it to take off my eye make up every evening, smooth out my lips (all day) and during the winter, I rub my hands and feet and bedtime to make them super soft 🙂 Its a cheap magical product .

  25. My secret beauty tip is olive oil as a hot oil treatmetn! Fill up a small shot glass, microwave for 25 seconds, take it in the shower with me– shampoo first, then put on hair and leave in for 1 minute, rinse, take a drop of shampoo and wash just along my part and hair line, rinse then condition!! never see heat damage disappear so quickly– it's a miracle treatment and au natural!

  26. My go to beauty tip, tinted moisturizer! Love the one from Sophia Kaushik from Target. Toss that on with a little blush, mascara, lip balm and i'm out the door.

  27. this is a gorgeous color on you. my secret go-to beauty tip is use a darker tone of foundation on certain area to create depth and shadows on the face. use the lighter tone on the T-zone to create a contrast effect.

  28. My "go to" beauty tip…is to Clarisonic before putting your make up on. It makes your skin so smooth and bright, so your make up sits better…and your own shine beams through:)

  29. After brewing my coffee, I take the warm, used coffee grounds and use them to exfoliate my hands. I compost them when done. The easiest way is to dump the grounds into your palms over top of the compost bucket in your kitchen, then just rub your hands all over like you are applying lotion with the grounds. Brush the grounds off into the compost bin when done and rinse, not wash, your hands off. They will be soft as butter and smell wonderful (if you like the smell of coffee that is LOL).

  30. I use an eyebrow brush and line the inside of the eyelid, it makes my lash line look thicker and creates a “no makeup” look.

  31. My go to beauty tip is: Use beauty oil every morning and night underneath moisturizer! My face has been glowing and I always look more awake now, since starting this about a month ago. I use Boscia Tsubaki beauty oil from Sephora. Smells amazing, too!
