Easy Holiday Entertaining

Happy December babes! Can you believe Christmas is only 10 days away!? I wasn’t sure if I should even bother doing My Gift Guide on yesterday’s post but I am so glad I did because looks like you girls were last minute shopping like me. 😉 Thanks for all the messages yesterday, i’m so glad it was helpful for you too. On today’s post I am sharing a little holiday home decor and some easy holiday entertaining tips.

I’ll be completely honest I didn’t go full force on the holiday decor this year because we’re actually celebrating Christmas away this year.  This holiday has been kind of a whirlwind. We have all been so busy but we’ve tried to sneak in as many Christmas festivities as possible. We’re headed to the snow next week so we’re really excited to give the kids a white Christmas this year! As far as decor I kept it super simple. With the big move next year the hubby wanted me to hold off getting new pieces until we move. So this year was all about tons of poinsettia and real garland.

One of my favorite pieces is filling this reclaimed wood box with poinsettia and mixing in some winter greens. It’s super simple and always a statement piece for our coffee table. I purchased it years ago but found a similar one for around $20  HERE! Glass Hurricane Candle Holders are from William Sonoma home (but 7 years ago!) THESE are super similar and here are few more of my favorites…

Luca (AKA “the destroyer” 😉 ) adjusting the ornaments

Christmas is going to be SO fun with him this year…minus the fact that he is into EVERYTHING! He thinks the glass ornaments are balls soooo we ended up taking those off the tree but he loves all the lights and is already so into the elf on shelf! Watching Ava and Luca search for “Sparkle” every morning is the BEST.I seriously wish I could freeze this sweet time! Our Faux Fur Tree Skirt on SALE now HERE (along with their Faux Fur Throws we love too!)

We had a few friends over last weekend and I wanted to throw together a little something holiday’ish but not a lot of fuss. Whether you’re planning a huge holiday gathering or just hosting a few friends at your home…this fun, festive  and tasty cocktail is sure to impress. All you need is a bottle of bubbly, A bottle of POM pomegranate juice, some pomegranate seeds and a few sprigs of fresh rosemary. I’m not usually a rosemary person but this one looks so cute as a garnish.

It literally takes two minutes to throw together!

Fill your champagne glass with pomegranate juice

(as much or as little as you like…I went almost half and half)

Add your bubbly of choice

(honestly any inexpensive one will do because your mixing it, but if you want these to be a little on the sweeter side maybe go for Barefoot or Cupcake prosecco)

Luckily for us in SoCal we can entertain outdoors all year round. I bought real garland for both of our fireplaces along with some oversized pine cones. They’re pretty inexpensive and add so much charm to the space.  You could also recreate this look on an indoor mantel as well!

I have said it before but I always stock up on these simple glass candles from Target. I use them ALL the time and think they’re around $1!

Having a little something to munch on when guests arrive is a MUST! I love a good cheese plate and these are some of my go to items I like to fill my with. Have you girls tried the goat cheese with with fig jam and almonds from Whole Foods?! They have them pre made and they taste SO good!

(my husbands always tells me I’m a hoarder of champagne classes and cheese plates so i’ve shared a few of my favorites below! )
