Werk it out

Many of you have asked about my favorite work out gear so today’s post is dedicated to that! I also receive tons of emails and comments about my workout routine so I am hoping to start posting more in depth details on that soon…the only problem is finding the time to squeeze that in so wish me luck!  😉 For the past couple months i’ve been posting my workout snapshots on my Twitter  because it’s quick and easy. You can check me out on there to see those. Okay lets talk gym attire…..
A little mama daughter style I posted on instagram over the weekend. How sweet are her little nikes?! I think I like them even more than mine 😉
I wish my gym attire was a little more exciting but to be honest I pretty much always stick to the basics with tops and bottoms and kick it up a notch in the shoe department. I love fun prints and bright bold colors! You can get these subtle print cheetah nikes here !

For pants I pretty much always stick to black! I’m always envious of the girls wearing bright workout pants to the gym but I am always worried when I sweat it will show through.  These are by Body Language and the only pair I have from that brand. I pretty much just wear Lululemon pants as they last FOREVER. I knew I had to have these Nike’s as soon as I saw them! They’re hands down my favorite pair right now.
I’ve also been wearing this Free People Pullover I previously posted on to the gym as well!
These are so fun right?! The perfect colors for Spring/Summer!
I don’t wear these Nike sweats to workout in but live in them at home and to run errands. They’re BEYOND comfy and I definitely don’t think they count as “mom sweats” 😉 I’m wearing them with my go to Target tank and  New Balance sneaks. I’ve posted on these Target tanks before they’re a staple in my wardrobe and probably wear them more than anything else in my closet! I wear them to the gym, going out and casual day errands shoot I even wore them when I was pregnant. For my Tarjay regulars you can find them folded on those shelves in the middle of the women’s/juniors clothing department.
and lastly these Lululemon tops are my go to (ps can you tell how old this pic is with my lighter hair 😉  I don’t mind mind spending a little bit extra on my workout clothes because i’ve literally been wearing some of the pieces for over 4 years! The quality is worth the price in my opinion.
Okay I hope this was helpful and PLEASE PLEASE share your favorite workout clothes brands! I feel like this is a department that there could really be a better selection of and I’m always looking for new brands!

  1. you`re making me so motivated to work out! you look so good even after pregnancy! so embarassing that i let myself go when i don`t even have a kid! you`re def my woman crush babe!

  2. do you do any weight lifting at the gym or do you just use the treadmill and elliptical?
i always get so nervous to go to the gym because i feel like people are judging me even though they probably don't even notice me lol

    1. I used to feel that way too. Google a few demonstrations of ways to use weight machines and abs workouts, squats, etc. Then apply that to your workout and no one is judging you I swear you're just freaking yourself out 🙂

  3. Nike work out bottoms are pretty awesome. I've had pairs FOREVER.
    Same goes with their tops.
I have those same sweats, LOVE them. I usually pair them with my Nike Dunk Sky Hi's 🙂

  4. I love this post. Thank you. Do you wear an ipod when you workout? also how many times do you do cardio a week and for how long? xo

    1. I have to have an iPod when i work out. Music is my motivation lol. I do cardio twice a week…sometimes three but not lately. You can check out my workout snapshots on twitter @andeelayne

  5. You and I actually go to the same gym! I'm usually walking out of a class when I see you but never say hi 🙁 maybe next time i will thanks for posting this hun

  6. I know you made a post about your facial skin care routine, but how about your body skin?! it's flawless and glowing lol

  7. Love this post!! You're so tiny! I'm all about the fun kicks and black workout gear! I love lululemon and Nike pants.. Also Zella and karma wear have some fun choices too. ( both I think are at nordstroms online) the leopard pic is the cutest with Ava 🙂

  8. I'm really loving the forever 21 workout line. I've purchased a pullover and a couple pairs of leggings. My friend used to be an employee at Lulu Lemon and she mistook my F21 leggings for a new style of Lulu's!

  9. I love how you look absolutely gorgeous even in your workout wear. More workout inspired posts would be lovely though! I'm always so curious about what others do in that department 🙂

  10. I too love Nike and Lululemon for workout clothes; but I also REALLY love the Victoria's Secret VSX Sport line (I actually like it better than Lululemon, which for me is saying a lot since I used to be ALLLL about Lululemon and only Lululemon, haha).

  11. I find a lot of stuff at Old Navy – love their compression pants, and Ellie is a newer line I love (ellie.com). I also just discovered Fabletics.com, and they have some really cute things – a pair of camo pants that I. Need. In. My. Life. True story.

    1. Old Navy compression capris are awesome!! They are cheap but feel great! Nice thick, stretchy fabric and a few pairs I've had a couple years and they still look brand new! I actually prefer them to my more expensive capris. Athleta also has really great, soft capris!!

  12. Hey! I love the purple tank from Lulu – is that the No Limits Tank? That is the only one I could find that looked similar to yours. Also…does Lululemon clothing fit true to size, or do they run smaller/larger? Thanks 🙂

    1. ill have to double check the name of it but its the one that is kind of open on the sides. I would also say that their tops run a little small and i typically go one size up. hope this helps xo

  13. Girl you have probably answered this to 100 other people but what size do you take in that hoodie? I want it and I think we're the sameish size wise. Thanks a million XO

  14. lulu lemon all the way! I heard Zella at Nordstrom is similar to Lulu however I have yet to try them.

(not sry if this posted 2x my computer is weird!)

  15. A fun blog post! I've realized that not dressing like a bum for the gym makes me feel even better for my workout!

Even though they're pricey, Lululemon is worth splurging, or waiting for sales (I've bought pants for 60$ and really cute tanks for 30$!! But you have to shop around and get lucky)

I also got really amazing pants from Costco. I can't remember the brand but they're a really nice stretchy but a bit thick fabric that lifts the booty and sucks everything in…SO comfy! And it's not the type of fabric that stretches out…and they only cost $20!!

What I find challenging is living in a cold country, after the gym I'm super sweaty and it's SO uncomfortable to put on warm boots & a sweater and my jacket…!! Any Canadians have any suggestions?!

  16. Cute as ever, Andee!!! You are making me very excited to start getting back in shape after the babe arrives! I am a huge fan of workout clothes & am always willing to pay more for cute stuff since I live in it! 🙂 Love your picks!!

  17. You need to try Lorna Jane!! Stylish, functional and amazingly comfy!! And the quality is amazing.. I've had some items for over 3 years & still perfect!!

  18. LOVE those leopard NIkes and Ava's tiny Nikes! And that bright purple Lulu top! I'm a diehard Lulu fan – I still wear some of my original pieces from so many years ago.

  19. I'm sorry this has nothing to do with the workout clothes but… I couldn't help but notice the sunburst mirror on top of your bed! LOVE it, where is it from??
