So.Cal Love

Today’s post is one I’ve been meaning to put together for awhile now and just showing a little SoCal love! If you follow along on Insta or Snap you saw that I got to do a little wine tasting in Malibu yesterday with some girlfriends at a seriously BREATHTAKING estate. On the way home, as we cruising down PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) I just couldn’t help but be so in awe of this place we are so lucky to call home. I’ve lived in SoCal for about 15 years now and I still take pictures like I’m a tourist. I have a million images on my Camera Roll i’ve been meaning to post for forever so today I wanted to share some with you. I frequently receive emails from you girls asking for recommendations so here are few more of my favorite places to add to the list!
Whether you’re local or some of you babes who have any Cali trips coming up in the future here are a few more spots definitely worth checking out!
We spent most of our day yesterday at the STUNNING Rocky Oaks Vineyard in Malibu. I have been wanting to check this place out for forever but and it did not disappoint!!
This View!
Nothing like a little vino and your girlfriends!
Another spot that is literally right down the street and I HIGHLY recommend is The Malibu Cafe! You guys this place is seriously SO charming. I couldn’t believe how family friendly it was too. I showed a lot more of it on snapChat (sorry if I sound like a broken record with snap because trust me I was so over it in the beginning too but I feel like I am just able to show you girls so much more on there) Anyhow this place had a ping pong table, life size chess set, pool table and so much more that was all on the outdoor lawn. I saw families having brunch and sipping wine while their little ones ran around and it was all just perfect! My girlfriend and I can’t wait to come back with our littles!
Seriously every inch of the Malibu Cafe was picture perfect! How stunning are these chandeliers?!
We had such an awesome time and I highly recommend making a day trip to Malibu to check out  these places. There were about 4 or 5 wineries within a few miles of each other (and they also have Uber and wine shuttles available as well). The next one on our list to check out is The Malibu Wine Safari. It’s right around the corner from these wineries and they take you on a safari ride out to see all the animals they have on their property.
After spending most of the day in Malibu we cruised down the coast and headed (with high hopes) to NOBU for sushi right on the ocean. Well apparently everyone (and their mother;) had the same idea because we took one look at the madness in the jam packed parking lot and just kept on cruisin’. So we drove down to Santa Monica and I just couldn’t believe how much that place had grown! It’s such a lively city with so much to do!
We ended up getting our sushi fix at the ever so popular SUGARFISH on 2nd street. The quality is excellent but beware it’s not your traditional style sushi spot and the menu options are pretty limited. There’s another place called Blue Plate Taco that my girlfriend kept raving about as well so that’s next on my list to try. If you ladies have any favorites you recommend please feel free to share too!!
Last month I went up to Venice for a little girls afternoon. The are constantly opening new restaurants  with so many amazing ones to try! We basically just wanted to eat our way through the city that day…and we did!

Gjusta Bakery
The Food was amazing but letssss be honest the baked goods were where it was at! I always bring goodies home for the hubby and kids but I had to snag one of their brownies on the ride home…DELISH!
Abbot Kinney is a must! It’s the cutest street with endless shops, restaurants and people watching 😉
I had been dying to check out The Butchers Daughter and have to say the food was good but I wasn’t blown away. The cocktails on the other hand were FANTASTIC!

It’s such a pretty and lively spot so I would still highly recommend at least popping in for a drink. As far as food I was say definitely check out Gjelina (my favorite) or Salt Air another restaurant I have been dying to try!

So many great little shops
and lastly a little pit stop at Salt & Straw. Their Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons is life changing!
and another SoCal spot to put on your list is The Montage in Laguna Beach. You girls know I have raved about this resort before but ladies it is a must! The views, service, dining, and all around experience is like no where else. Whenever it’s a special occasion like birthday or Mother’s Day we always go here.
Their spa is hands down my favorite in Orange County! For Mother’s Day me and a handful of my  mama friends opted for a day of relaxation at this incredible place! We had our treatments and then spent some time lounging at their spa pool.
 poolside having lunch and bubbly!

Even if you don’t come to stay the night at the resort I would still highly recommend coming for a cocktail or lunch at their Mosaic restaurant. The property and the views are gorgeous so even walking the grounds is a treat!

Not a bad way to spend the day!
Hope you enjoyed these shots! I also plan on putting together an OC restaurant guide for you girls who have been asking!
