Skin Care Products

Morning loves! Thank you all for the birthday love on instagram! I am officially on a detox from all the cupcakes and yummy food that has been devoured in the last few days 😉 Birthday calories don’t count right?! I’ve finally uploaded the pics from our Palm Springs get away and will have that recap for you all tomorrow! Today I wanted to share a handful of my favorite beauty products since i’ve been getting a lot of question about my skin care routine. It has changed slightly since my pregnancy and I will share those pregnancy products on the next baby bump update but here are my skincare staples pre pregnancy….

If you girls have been following my blog for awhile you’ve probably heard me mention I have crazy sensitive skin (like trips to the urgent care for eyes swelling shuts and itchy rashes sensitive lol). Trying new products is always a risk so I venture into that territory lightly 😉
I use a ton of Kiehls products as I find they work really well with my skin. I originally purchased the first moisturizer in the set for me because it was light weight and didnt want to clog my pores. The second moisturizer was purchased for my husband because he wanted something really hydrating. While I use both I tend to steal his more now because I find my skin has been super dry lately. I use it at night time on my face and neck and my skin drinks it up! I love the body polish by Fresh. It smells great and gently exfoliates. I purchase the Kiehls Facial Fuel for the hubs and the Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream for me! Like I said crazy sensitive skin ESP around the eyes so when I find something I tend to stick to it. Although they make an avocado eye cream i’ve been wanting to try as well!  I have posted on the Clarisonic brush before and have been using it for years! It really makes a difference in my skin (but just make sure you’re diligent about cleaning the brush heads and getting a new one every few months). A few times a week I would also use the Kiehls Line Reducing concentrate at night time. Lastly I included a couple hair products from Oribe that I really like and a body soufflé by Moroccanoil that I really want to try. I LOVE the smell of Moroccanoil products so think I would really love this!

Barney’s is also have a “Love Yourself” promotion where if you spend $200 (between 9/10- 9/14) in Beauty Products and Fragrances you receive a gift bag of all these goodies!

Now that is a killer goodie bag!

  1. Which Kiehls lotion are you saying does wonders for a dry face? My skin has been so dry since I have my son 18 months ago and I can't find anything that helps. I can't wait to try it!!

  2. I have super super sensitive dry skin and am always afraid to try new products. I love Kielhs body lotion. Good to know about these other products. I have been curious about their eye creams and their line reducing concentrate. I've been using Skin Ceuticals and it's a bit pricey. I think I'll give Kiehls a try!

  3. I have craaaazy sensitive skin also (and it's been acting up lately), so I love this! I've been putting Vitamin E oil on my face at night (b/c of its natural healing properties), and I can't believe how well it worked for my dry + red areas. Seems like it would cause breakouts, but it didn't at all! I need to try Kiehl's as well – I've only ever used their lip balm, but loved it! xx

  4. Thank you so much for posting on skin care! I've been searching for new products. And these seem very economical! Have you ever tried an eye serum vs. cream? I tried a serum from Dior and it seemed to work very well….too bad it was expensive. xoxoxox

  5. Barneys skincare products is realy very good. because I use some of Barneys products here in Pakistan. I have very sensitive skin so I always use some imported brands like maybelline newyork. But when I use natural product like skincare bio oil. I get best results regarding my skin like my skin becomes smother and softer. It also helps to reduce stretch marks on your skin. So I suggest all girls to use bio oil for your skin. It is natural product and not harmful for your skine. you can buy bio oil in Pakistan from online shops in pakistan like magiclamp pk.

Skin Care Products

I have received a bunch of requests lately for my skin care routine. Here are the products I am currently using……….

*Click on the set for more details

*I use Kiehls tinted moisturizer everyday (gives a nice coverage while moisturizerizing and has SPF) Its also a lot cheaper then the Becca tinted moisturizer I used to use.
* DDF 2% saliylic acid face wash
*Kiehls eye cream I use day and night. (I have super sensitive skin so I find this works great on me)
*Omega Three supplements (should be daily but sometimes I forget) I purchase mine from Trader Joes for around $12.
*Peter Roth Thomas Gentle Complexion Correction pads are awesome! I use these a few times a week and they help promote cell turn over. I can see a difference in my skin immediately after using! ( I think they have the highest % of glycolic they allow for over the counter brands)
*I love Avalon Organics Vitamin C Vitality face serum. I have repurchased this products serveral times.
*DFF rentinol energizing moisturizer is also another favorite i wear at night but it is pricey and havent repurchased yet (but plan to soon)
*and I love Body Butter! Always makes my skin feel super soft and smells so good!

  1. I love the body butters too, the shea one is the best and the most moisturizing one, most of them make me feel sick because their scents are too strong. I have been wanting to test Kiehls since Miranda uses a moisturizer and hand cream in sex and the city haha!

  2. Helpful post – you have such amazing skin 🙂 I was using the Avalon vit C serum for a while, but had to stop during my acne treatment. I'm a huge believer in supplements for great skin – I take Omega 3-6-9, MSM and Biosil along with multivitamins.

Those Peter Roth pads sound awesome – I hope this line is available in Canada – I've heard such great things about it (especially the mineral SPF touch-up powder)

  3. MSM is awesome! I need to start taking mine everyday. What other supplements do you use Andee? I'm super excited to try some of these products! Gonna go pick up those pads today! Maybe it'll help with my post acne scarring…?

  4. Thanks for this post!
I need to look into those PTR pads, I've really loved every PTR product I've tried.

    I'm loving the Kiehl's too!

  5. Oh I love the Avalon Organics Vitamin C Serum, it's light, smells great, and totally brightens up the skin! Thanks for sharing your skin care routine, you have flawless skin. Retinol products are great for night, haven't tried DDF yet but I like Skinmedica. ^^

  6. @ella pretty blog i will have to look into biosil… havent heard of that one. xo Glad you girls are also a fan of some of these products. I love hearing what you guys are using xo

  7. Andee, have you always just naturally had flawless skin (good genes), or have these products, or any others, helped with any conditions? What does the Vitamin C serum do for you? Thanks!
