Palm Springs Recap

I’d be lying if I said that things haven’t been a little bit crazy over here lately! I just finally got around to uploading our pictures from our Palm Springs trip. So here we go with a little re cap when we ventured out there a couple weeks ago with a few other families for our annual Mother’s Day Palm Springs vacay!
As you’ve probably noticed we travel to the desert frequently now that we have kiddos. It’s a super quick and easy drive and is always a fun time! This trip we stayed in LaQuinta (about 10 miles past Palm Springs) at The La Quinta Resort and Spa. I had heard great things about this place for years but never stayed there and am SO glad we booked it. The property was absolutely stunning and I couldn’t get enough of all the spanish style decor! When we stay in Palm Springs we usually always end up venturing out for dinner, drinks etc but this resort is so HUGE we never left! It has 7 restaurants and so many different pools I couldn’t even keep track. It also has its own coffee shop and candy shop on site! You could do a relaxing girls weekend there but I would recommend it more for families. If you’re little ones have a scooter bring it with you! All of the kids have them there and were non stop cruising 😉
Our room had two patios, a living room and a full kitchen!
Kimono c/o Cleobella (Another fun style HERE)
Early mornings with these love bugs are the best…even if Ava started asking to go the pool at 7am! 😉
Peek-a boo mountain views from the front patio!
this babe and her sass! Help me lol
I couldn’t get enough of this little Tiger Swim Suit and it also comes in cheetah print and lion too!

and there’s nothing better than evenings in the desert!
I love how the mountains always look like a painting in the evenings!
Headed to the pool in this Mikoh bikini top! Also available in black and red HERE.

A few of my vacay favorites I packed for our trip!
Day Two off to the pool in this off the shoulder Bikini Top (more sizes HERE) and oversized hat on SALE HERE.

Going on vacation with other families is seriously the best! They get your early dinners, finding kid friendly restaurants, disappearing for nap times and not mention its nice having the kids entertain each other 😉 Ava had the BEST time!
Headed to Mama’s Day Brunch
This pretty view on our morning coffee run every morning!

Me and my girl xoxo
Ava’s outfit from Zara kids my crochet cut out dress is by 6 Shore Road (available in peach HERE)
and these two studs! 😉 I definitely see more of me in Luca than I do in Ava but it’s safe to say my hubby has strong genes and both my kiddos look like my hubs!
I see pictures like this and can’t believe what a little lady she has become already!
safe to say I indulged in lots of yummy vacay calories!
and cheers to the best mamas around! These were my first mom friends I made in Orange County and was so lucky to find such down to earth fun mamas!
This little ham was so good this trip! She loves traveling and always asks if we can go to the “ho da tel” in the desert!
Wearing these little harem pants c/o Cleobella / Target Sandals / Chaser Pineapple Tee/ and Gap hat
On the way into town we stopped in downtown Palm Springs to check out a few properties so a quick breakfast at Kings Highway Diner was a must! The retro decor is the cutest and the food is amazing! We lalalove this spot!
A little sampling of everythanng!
and even though we weren’t staying in downtown Palm Springs this trip we had to take a 5 mile detour on the way home to scoop up shakes from our favorite milkshake spot Great Shakes!
The shake combinations are endless!! Smore is always my go to and they toast the marshmallows right in front of you!
I’ve been wanting this Polaroid Camera for awhile and the hubby surprised me with it for Mothers Day! It was so fun to take and share pics with on our trip and it’s safe to say Ava loved using it as well!
and to top it all off I came home to prettiest bouquet of Mother’s Day Flowers! I definitely felt like one blessed mama!

On another side note I am helping host a baby shower this weekend and am stumped on the favors! If you ladies have any suggestions for baby girl shower favors plllllease share! xo

  1. OMG love love love! When we move back (yes, that's what I'm going with…WHEN lol 😉 ) I can't wait to get to Palm Springs on the regular…so fun! Sophia and Ava sound so much alike – screaming, "Let's go to the ocean! Let's go to the beach! Let's go to the pool!" on repeat as soon as she woke up on vacay, such a fun age for sure! And I def see more of you in Luca as well, so sweet! Looks like such a beautiful trip! xx

  2. Please share lipstick details for the picture in the white bikini top and in the denim on denim post please!

  3. I just went to a baby girl shower and the favors were nail polishes in different shades of pink. The girls who hosted made mini tulle tutus to go around the wand – it was super cute!

  4. Now I want to head to the desert asap! Love all your outfits! Can you tell me where the striped knotted coverup is from in the photo with the boyfriend jean shorts? Thank you!!

    1. hi hun its linked right below it but think the stripe it just sold out now ;( they have a place on the site where you can click and be notified when its back in stock though xo

  5. 1. Baby Shower: little set of macaroons and tea; a bath bomb for those elusive, relaxing baths; a little succulent in a pot. i LOVE hosting parties!!
    2. How do you get your ponytail so perfect and perky!?
    3. We have found if we keep C busy with fun he likes (with other kids too) he is much better behaved! Reminded me when you said Ava was so good this trip….she was prob having so much fun and was worn out!!

  6. I threw one recently (bohemian theme) and favors were flower crowns (babies breath) and smudge sticks… loved it

  7. Oh my goodness! Miss Honeybee, you pictures are gorgeous! Love pics of Miss Cutiebee and Babybee! Glad you had a good time! No adviec on babyshower except cupcakes with gender reveal!

  8. Pedicure in a jar! Fill a mason jar with an OPI "It's A Girl" nail polish, toe separators, a mini nail file, some cotton pads, a little scrubber and OPI also has a mini lotion that fits. Create a cute label and voila. We are using these as prizes at my sisters upcoming baby shower. I also love the Ella Mila Mommy and Me nail polish sets if you aren't on a tight budget or don't have a large guest list. We were and did, so as a favor we are giving out cupcakes that are in a box made to look like an oven – A Bun In The Oven. So cute and yummy. Nail polish and/or an edible favor – can't go wrong!

  9. Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous! Looks like a great trip away.Craving a cocktail now after seeing they pictures!

  10. Please do more Honeybee Health posts! your last one was back in November and I Miss seeing all the great meal and food ideas for staying on track.

Palm Springs Recap

Good Morning loves! I finally uploaded a few pics from our night in Palm Springs last weekend. We stayed at the Parker again because we LOVE it! (You can check out my previous post on it HERE on HERE as well) It’s hipster meets kid friendly 😉 They have a separate pool more for families and kids and the property is so pretty with lots of fun spot for kids to explore!
I wanted to give a quick thank you to the people at Nikon for sending me this camera. It’s has Wifi connection which has been a life saver for taking better quality pics to share right away with you girls! All the pics from this trip were taken with my NikonD3300.
The property is always well maintained and super inviting!  At night this fire place is lit up and the perfect place to have drink (if I could drink 😉 under the stars.
The check in time kind is super late ( like 4:00 pm late!) but we always head up early, check our luggage and head straight to the pool!
Not a bad spot to lounge all day and order lunch!
Beautiful views everywhere you look!
After a few hours at the pool we ventured out to this shake spot I had been wanting to try. Ladies “Great Shakes” did not disappoint!!! Seriously the best shakes i’ve had in awhile!
These beauties deserved a close up! Yes they come with a mini homemade donut on the straw… heavenly!! I had the Smore’s shake and Ava had the Birthday Cake shake. I’m not really a Smore’s person but oh. my. word SO amazing!
(Cleobella Harem Pants // T Strap Sandals)
Headed off to dinner with this little love!
the whole property is covered with these beautiful pathways!
I have been wanting to try Birba for forever! While I adore the outdoor restaurant and the food was really yummy, I dont think I would recommend this restaurant to you ladies! It’s all outdoor seating with NO AC! We were sweating to death at 8:00pm so just keep that in mind if you decide to go there. Its right next to Cheekys (a great brunch spot I previously posted on).
(Her favorite Blanky that always come with us when we travel)
Okay so lets talk about sleep (while traveling) once your little one is in a big girl bed…ugh! We requested a roll away bed and brought our guard rail with us. It was the PERFECT little set up and of course A wanted nothing to do with it. We ended up having to let her fall asleep in our bed (which always takes a long time with our little one) then once she was asleep we moved her into the roll away bed. At around 5am some little feet made their way back in to our bed lol. I seriously don’t know how some parents do the whole co sleeping with little ones! I had the worst sleep ever but it was pretty funny to wake up and see her feet in the hubby’s face lol. I think this is how it’s going to have to go down though every time we travel now.
This trip we upgraded to a room right off the pool and will probably book this every time we go now. It was so convenient for Ava and not bad having breakfast with this view! FYI don’t book this room if you’re not traveling with kids and want to sleep in. The pool was popping at 9am 😉
and the cutest little lemonade stand ever!
If you make it out to Palm Springs i’d definitely recommend this spot! The Colony and Viceroy are two of my other favorites (but I haven’t stayed there with kids yet so cant speak on how kid friendly they are) Happy Monday!

  1. Oh my gosh, Ava's outfits are perfect! Yours too of course 🙂 The little bikini though kills me!

We too transitioned S to a toddler bed but when we traveled we put her back into a pack and play and she did fine! I know every kid is different so it may not work for your little one, but it might be worth a try. I agree co-sleeping with a toddler is not fun! haha!

    1. you know it isn't really a destination you would really travel to unless you live in SoCal but if you guys are out this way I highly recommend checking out. I love a little desert getaway!

  2. Love your site! I can't wait to travel with my soon to be little guy! I know it won't be for a bit since hes not even born yet but little family vacas look like fun! I love traveling 🙂 Do you find it hard traveling with babies?
