Alright lovelies! A backyard patio tour has definitely been one of my top requested posts from you all this Summer. I shared a quick Backyard Tour video on my IGTV a couple weeks ago but wanted to follow up with a full post for you spilling on the deets on the space we’ve used the most in our new home!
One of the perks of living in Southern California is that it’s basically patio weather year-round! We knew when we were in the process of building our home that we wanted a good flow and an indoor/outdoor living vibe. We wanted the transition from inside to outside to be seamless and our architect (Eric Olsen) definitely nailed that! Here are a few shots of the space we live in…
The two questions I receive the most are “what color is the brick on our outdoor fireplace?” and “where is your patio furniture from?”. The brick color is Benjamin Moore “Simply White” and our patio furniture is all from Restoration Hardware. I know that Restoration Hardware can be pricey but honestly, you really do get quality that will last for years. We had this furniture in our previous home and were planning on getting new furniture when we moved into our new build but the patio furniture was still going strong so we kept it. We just freshened up the material and went with a darker gray.
We knew we wanted to create a space to do dinners outside and we definitely use this outdoor dining area a ton. Our dining table is also from Restoration Hardware but the chairs are inexpensive ones from Amazon and then we just added some custom seat cushions similar to these HERE. We added some string lights and reused our industrial backless bar stools from our last house in the bar area.
One thing I was most excited about for this backyard was all the entertaining we would be doing. I love to entertain so we had this wine chest built into our concrete bar and it has definitely been a crowd pleaser! Several of you have asked if it has a drain at the bottom and yes it does!
We really do live in the space (especially this year!) and have created so many special memories here!

I hope this answered some of your questions and if you want to see more of our home posts, you can check out my HONEYBEE HOME tab on my site!
