My Everyday Basics Worth the Splurge

Okay ladies, let’s talk basics! It’s a request I receive often and as someone who always reaches for comfy jeans and tees I can totally see why. I’ve spent several years purchasing cheap tees that would only shrink, fade or unravel a couple months later. A couple years ago I decided to start investing in quality basics so today I am sharing my tried and true everyday basics that are totally worth the splurge.

It’s safe to say I’ve tried so many different basics brands but there is a handful at the TOP of my list that immediately comes to mind. N:Philanthropy, Paige, Current Elliott and Re/Done are ones I immediately know I will love if I purchase them. They are all in the $50-$100 price range and yes, while I know these are not budget-friendly, the quality will seriously last you for years. If you’re ready to invest in higher quality basics keep on reading!

Alright and here are my tried and true top picks for everyday basics with brands I have been buying for the past couple of years!

Current Elliott

Current Elliott items are soft, comfy and they make the best heather gray options. The quality is amazing and they don’t shrink up!

Paige and Z Supply

Paige and Z Supply are two newer tee brands that I’ve added into the rotation lately. I was pleasantly surprised with how soft the Paige tees are and Z Supply is a great option that’s a little easier on the wallet.

N:Philanthropy

If you like Golden Goose sneakers and distressed denim like me, you will love N:Philanthropy tees. I own several and love the distressed and ripped vibe to them! Yes, people will ask if you bought your shirt that way 😉 but let me LIVE lol.

Susana Monaco

If you guys have been a part of the Honeybee Fam for some time you girls have probably heard me rave about Susana Monaco before. These tops are always money well spent and I love that the high-quality material is a little thicker and flattering. If you have a small bust like me, I recommend rocking her tanks with this bra and you will actually have cleavage!! I wear an XS in her tops and have several of the above.

Hanes x Karla

I’ve purchased several items from the Hanes x  Karla collab and they’ve all been great! That crop top is perfect with high waist leggings for working out. I also just ordered the neon one above and will share soon!

Re/Done

And last but definitely not least, Re/Done! I’ve been rocking their tees and tops for years and I’m obsessed! The cutaway tank I’m wearing in today’s post is this one HERE and I just ordered it in black too because I wear it so often. You girls asked what bra I’m wearing with it and it this one HERE.

Hope this MAJOR basic tee breakdown was helpful for girls!!

  1. Basics are life! I also love Vince tanks – so soft and great quality and you can find them at TJ Maxx!

What bra do you wear that is so smooth under something so fitted? I’m also smaller busted but have the hardest time finding a strapless bra that fits nicely under tanks like this without looking all lumpy!.

  2. Thanks for sharing, Andee! I’m going to invest in good quality basics and once my little babe arrives in September!
