Life Via The Camera Roll // Park City Utah

Alright loves it’s been a minute since I’ve done a life via the camera roll post but I want to share a quick little recap from our Park City trip with you girls before I forget. We added a few new favorite spots to our Park City list and so many of you had questions on where to stay and what to do so today I’m sharing our favorites!

If you girls have been following along over the years you probably remember we went to Park City basically the last three years. I really wanted to try somewhere new (Beaver Creek, Lake Tahoe, Aspen and Vail are all on our travel list!) but honestly Park City is just so easy and always fun! Plus it makes it really hard when you have multiple family friends that always travel there at the same time each year and makes it that much more fun to get to dinners, go tubing and hang with the other families.

Where to stay

We always stay in Deer Valley (FYI it’s ski only if you’re a snowboarder) when we go and usually stay at The Montage or The St. Regis. They’re both definitely not budget friendly so if you girls have another favorite in Park City or Deer Valley please share! We were considering renting a house which was a cheaper option and may try that next time too.

So a few of you asked about which we liked more either Montage or St. Regis and I have to say the food and location of St. Regis is the best! The Montage property is bigger but it’s also at a higher elevation and we all take a few days adjusting to the altitude change. The St. Regis is also the best location if you are planning on taking your kids to ski school. The access is so convenient it makes it hard not to book there when you have beginner skiers.

This was Luca’s first year in ski lessons and I finally feel like he is at a great age for it. Ava had a few lessons and one full day of ski school and was happy to have her friends in it with her. So proud of these two babes!

Where to eat

You can’t go wrong with Main street. We use any excuse to head to this charming street (and if you are staying at the resorts they have free shuttles to take you back and forth). We always make a reservation in advance for River Horse on Main. It’s definitely a nicer restaurant but we still bring our kiddos. We’ve also added Fletchers to our list and Handle. Our Uber driver recommended the cutest little restaurant on Main St. called Cafe Terigo and it was so good that we went back a second time during our trip. Cocktails at the J&G Lounge at the St. Regis are amazing (They had the best bloody mary and an amazing Ginger Margarita!) If you want to make the trek up to the Montage the views are stunning and they have the Vueve Clicquot yurt as well! Yassss!

What to do

We added a few new stops to our itinerary this trip. We LOVE Gorgoza Park for tubing but it was closed this year so we went to Soldiers Hollow in Midway and it was also great! They had a little snow mobile area too that was super cute for the kids.

We also added the Ice Castles in Midway to our trip (only about a 25 min drive from our hotel) and you guys it was SO pretty!!! If you have kiddos close to my kiddos ages (or want a good photo op) definitely add this place to your list!

We went right when it opened so it wasn’t crazy busy and the kids (and adults) had a blast! I saved a few more shots of this magical place on my Park City highlights tab at the top of my instagram.

And of course indulge in the all you can eat Smore’s! The St. Regis has a Smore’s set up every night and included Reese’s cups too! Why had I never thought of that before?! Game Changer!

The Montage has a pretty epic Smore’s spread the rolls out in the lobby everyday around 4:00 with flavored marshmallows. They also have a super kid-friendly restaurant on the bottom floor that has two bowling lanes and an arcade. The food isn’t the best but it’s nice if you want the kids to play and have fun while the adults can hang.

What to wear

and last but not least what to wear! I’m all about practicality when we head to the snow. I’ll invest in some basics I know will be worn countless times and then add in a few cute items like fair aisle knit cardigans, oversized beanies and a fun pair of boots. I shared pretty much everything I packed on my Winter Getaway Style page but shared a few more favorite above. I found a new site that I really loved for ski stuff HERE and ordered a lot of the ski/snow essentials for my family there. They are having a pretty great SALE right now too if you girls are looking to snag pieces for next year.

and that’s a wrap!  I hope that answered some of your questions and as always feel free to share you Utah favorites as I am sure we will be going back next year too.

  1. That little Main Street looks so cozy and adorable & I’m kind of dying at Luca in his little snowsuit- too much cuteness!!! When did they get so big… gorgeous family!
