Life lately (LA Edition)

I hope you girls are enjoying your weekend! I haven’t done a Life Via The Camera Roll post in awhile because I feel like I post a lot on Instagram but a few of you have requested these so here we go with an LA edition. A lot of my girlfriends live in LA and even though I don’t go up there nearly as much as I used to, I still try to make an effort to get up there at least once a month!
I haven’t been to Malibu in ages but I  attended a preview for Cleobella ‘s Fall collection hosted by The Zoe Report at The Malibu Beach House a couple days ago. If you’re in SoCal I am sure you know of this brand. The bohemian effortless pieces are a favorite of mine and the Fall collection doesn’t disappoint!
( anddddd this is why I haven’t been to Malibu in ages! LOL )
Now that’s fresh coconut water!

A peek at some of the Cleobella beauties! I love the graphic prints, soft leather and fringe details!
My relaxed beach look for the event:
Paige Denim
Nicholas Sandals (budget friendly HERE)
After the event I headed into LA for a quick bit at The Little Next Door with a girlfriend.
and of course when in LA I have to check out new dessert spots! This place has been on my list to try for ages!  MILK on Beverly Blvd. did not disappoint!
Ginormous macaroon cookies and cream ice cream sandwich?!  HEAVENLY!
Macaroon Selffffie
On another trip to LA last month I went up to take my girlfriend to lunch for her birthday…
My Causal Day Look (Can you tell i’m living in these jeans lately?!)
Enza Costa Top (great basic, I have it in white as well)
Paige Denim
Nicholas Sandals
Jerome Dreyfuss Bag (obsessed with these similar more affordable HERE, HERE and HERE)
Hermes Cuff
(Dita Aviators)
Yumminess at Mercado on 3rd street!
(Alexander Wang Wallet)
I SO wish we had a “Juice Served Here”  in OC. I’m obsessed with the Joan’s Greens! Stop in the girls were super helpful there and will give you samples of any juice on the menu!
a trip to Magnolia’s is always a good idea!
and of course I always have to bring some sweets home for my sweets!

  1. Your blog makes me miss SoCal. We just moved in December to the Midwest (husband got promoted). Where did you get your bracelets?

    1. ;( I know how you felt we missed CA so much when we moved to Miami and few years ago! The bracelets were purchased from Shop Planet Blue but i think they're sold out now ;(

  2. Those bracelets are a hit! I too would love to know where you found them! As a gal from the northeast, I love seeing what's happening on the west coast. The sunshine, ocean and laid-back style make me want to plan a trip. And it looks like there's no shortage of great places to eat. Your selfie with the macaroon ice cream sandwich (!!!) is adorable!

  3. Thanks for sharing! I thought Cali was a pretty healthy place as far as food goes, but obviously they know how to do dessert! Those ice cream macaroons look fantastic! I don't blame you for not going to Malibu if traffic is that bad! So is the weather in your area just not as boiling as the South? I would burn up right now if I wore my boyfriend jeans where I live. I've traded them for some denim cutoffs lately since its so hot! I love your casual outfit with the tank, that's my favorite laid back look.

  4. Gorgeous photos Andee! Hubby and I have a Malibu trip planned for this month as I have never been! I know, right? I was born in LA and I've never even seen Malibu (sad). I'm excited to go now!

  5. Love the Beach area in So. CA. My MIL lives in one of the beach community there and it is so much fun to go shopping in the little shops! It is nice because we can walk a lot of places! Love your tanks! You are to cute!

  6. This may seem random…but I'm curious what bras you use? I am obsessed with those tanks from target as well but I find my bra strap is always showing and I hate strapless bras. Any recos on bras? Thanks!
    -Brittany

  7. This may seem random…but so you have any bra recos? I hate strapless bras but wear a lot of tanks in the summer as well and don't like my straps to show. I love those target tanks you always talk about as well. They're my fav for working out and layering! 🙂

Life Lately: LA Edition

So this weekend I headed up to LA for a little 24hr escape birthday celebration for my girlfriend. We stayed at the SLS and had some much needed girl time! I’ve stayed at the SLS before and LOVE this hotel. If you’re looking for a lively, celeb watching spot with uber chic decor…this is it ladies!

I LOVE Philippe Stark design! Even if you’re not staying there I highly recommend coming in for a liquid nitrogen cocktail 😉 at Bar Centro or dinner at The Bazaar. Its a little pricey but SO good!
Another STUNNING restaurant to check out is Eveleigh right on the sunset strip. The food was good (not amazing) but I will definitely be going back because its so charming!
After dinner we headed over to one of my favorite little bars The Roger Room. The cocktails are out of control good and I love how intimate this place is!
The cocktail on the bottom left is the Tijuana Brass. I was uncertain about the “cucumber foam” but its by far my favorite drink on the menu! If you’re looking for some fun LA spots I highly recommend these!

  1. You all look so gorgeous! What foundation do you usually wear when you are being photographed? Random question…. trying to get back in shape 10 weeks postpartum, did you ever use the belly bandit?

    1. thanks love! That night I wore Loreal True Match and find it photographs just as well as I'm higher end foundation. Congrats to you and i hope you're feeling great… i know how exhausting the first few months can be. I tried using the taut wrap by Brooke Burke but wasn't really into it bc it was a little uncomfortable. ;( I haven't tried the belly bandit.

  2. You all look gorgeous! Is your dress Indah? Looks great! Do you have any tips on how you do your smokey eye make-up (or tutorial you learned from)? Looks great! Also, very curious about the cucumber foam! 🙂

  3. I have always wanted to vist L.A.!! Will definitely be one of the first places I visit if I ever win the lottery 🙂 Drinks sound delish! Cucumber foam sounds very interesting indeed!!
