Jackson Hole // Winter Getaway (and picture overload)

Good morning loves! Today’s post is a recap (and pic overload) from our trip to Jackson Hole, WY a couple weeks ago. I’ve been itching for a snowy getaway and we both wanted to go somewhere we have had never been before. I love Southern California but lets be honest we don’t have a ton of wide open spaces here so Jackson Hole was so refreshing and ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
We stayed at The Four Seasons Jackson Hole and can’t rave about this hotel enough! We’ve stayed at Four Seasons property quite a bit when we travel because they’re so helpful and accommodating when traveling with kids.
Upon arrival they had these little stuffed animals for the kids (which Ava quickly sntached both;) A crib, rollaway bed, high chair and some super cute rice crispy treat snowman in the room all set up for us. When Luca was super stuffed up they brought us a humidifier for the room and medicine as well. It’s just all these little things that make a big difference (especially when your traveling with little ones)
I knew that this trip to the snow would be a little challenging because of Lucas age (and my mom friends were right who warned me ahead of time 😉 but it was still so worth it in the end. There was A LOT of baby on the hip action because at the time Luca was just barely walking (now he is off and running!) but seeing how much Ava had this trip was priceless! Ps to you moms that live in cold weather and have to get your kids dressed for the snow daily…hats off to you! Lol It was like a workout trying to get them in and out of the gear everyday! 😉
How awesome are these snow houses?! Ava and her friends played in them everyday!
My boys!
A’s ready to go!!
Safe to say we visited the heated pool and hot tub everyday! They had a closet full of warm robes for you as soon as you get out of the pool and annnnd they even delivered smores and hot chocolate to you while you’re in the hot tub….can we say HEAVENLY!!
Sledding with my babe! Hoping she remembers all these little things!
The daily stop to get my Huckleberry Mule from The Handle Bar restaurant inside our hotel! My sunnies back in stock and on sale now HERE (also available in Havana tortoise color HERE).
Pretty much lived in this outfit everyday for the snow. As mentioned above, this jacket was a score from Nordstrom Rack! I debated on getting a higher end coat like this one from Canada Goose (love this camo one) and this from Mackage but honestly this one by BCBG worked perfectly! As for snow boots Sorel Boots are where it’s at ladies! My pair were amazing. They were comfortable and kept my feet nice and dry. I also had my eyes on this wedge pair (may have to snag them for next year!)
Oversized Beanie (comes in 5 other colors!) // Gold Aviator Sunglasses (available in Silver HERE) // Dark Wash Denim // BCBG Jacket a score from Nordstrom Rack! (similar on sale HERE and love this one on SALE 40% OFF HERE) //  // Cable Knit Socks // Snow Boots (found them on sale HERE!)
I didn’t want to have to buy snow gear for the kids because they grow out of it so quickly. For Ava we were lucky enough to borrow her snow suit and snow boots from friends! I love this SNOW SUIT for girls and we love SOREL BOOTS. I also heard great things about THESE BOOTS (that are now 50% off!) and obsessed with THESE that are now on sale too.
Snuck away from the babes with my girlfriend and ended up back at The Handlebar restaurant sippin’ spiked hot chocolate!
This property was seriously gorgeous! It’s a ski in ski out resort and you literally walked right out the lobby to the lift. Obviously this trip we didn’t get to snowboard but definitely next year!  If you were following along on my SnapChat (AndeeLayne) you guys saw all the amazingness. I seriously wish I would have saved those snaps! This place was just too perfect!  They had a hot cocoa and coffee bar with scones set up in the lobby every morning. In the afternoons they had an amazing hot cider station too!
Heading to an early dinner in this amazing fringe sweater (Back in stock now HERE)! Another favorite HERE and HERE)
Day three of unwashed hair called for the top knot. When I showed up in the lobby with Luca my husband look shocked and said “oh no, babe you forgot to take down your hair”! lol  He thought I had left it up like I do when I’m getting ready a home ha! When I told him it was a new hair trend he replied “oh” (lol so I guess he wasn’t feeling it 😉
Lucas nap time was relaxing time for all of us. Ava watched her iPad, daddy napped and mama had this amazing cheese plate with some vino fireside! Who’s with me?! 😉
Fresh Snow!!
Antik Batik Shag Sweater (sold out but similar HERE and HERE)
This place was PURE MAGIC you guys! If you were following along on snap chat you saw that we walked to dinner just about every night. The hotel had sleds available and we literally pulled our munchkins to dinner every night. If you’re in Jackson Hole definitely check out our hotel and also OSTERIA. A yummy italian restaurant right about from out resort! So good!

Morning View!
Breakfast in bed pleassssse
Bringing a little color to the slopes! My colorful cardigan, Susana Monaco Tank (I own it in black as well) and Gold Aviators
(you guys I have been wearing these sunnies for over 4 years and own this pair of aviators in three different colors! The best part is they are unisex so your men can share them too! They are super light weight and my favorite pair of aviators ever.)
My Sweeeets!
This face is priceless!
I mentioned Lucas boots on instagram a couple weeks ago but THESE BOOTS (40% off now) were great! Luca is a SoCal kid and to be honest we’ve been getting away with him being bare foot or just with socks even in the Winter here. Obviously that was going to fly in Jackson Hole, so I found these Robeez boots and they were a hit. They were lined with faux fur and so easy to put on. I was shocked he actually kept them on the entire trip too! I will definitely be looking into buying more of these shoes for him.
Lot of on the hip, on the lap action with this wiggly worm 😉
future boarder 😉
My girlfriend and I snuck away one afternoon for a little pampering at the spa! Did you guys see this place on my snap chat?! SO amazing!

Bubbly in the hot tub was so perfect while waiting for our treatments!
and probably the highlight of our trip was taking a private sleigh ride out in the National Elk Refuge. If you girls are there during the Winter you must put this on your list. (They also have group rides available that are a little more budget friendly)
to see these beauties up close in such a gorgeous place was so amazing!

These love bugs!
We will definitely be going back to Jackson Hole next year. I’ve heard its actually even more amazing in the Summer! If you girls have been and have any recommendations please share!! Hope you enjoyed this pic overload 😉 and are having a great week!

  1. You pics are beautiful Andee, glad you got some fun in the snow.

regarding super warm jackets and parkas like Canada Goose and Mackage, I'll give you my perspective as a Canadian: I'm glad you decided against them. I live in Ottawa, canada and our winters range from -10C to a low of -30C. I still think a Canada Goose is overkill even for us here in Ottawa. It's meant for true polar climate of -50C or lower or Northern Canada or a place like Siberia. You also can't run and play in them and they are not waterproof. For a place like you went barely making it to 0C (which to me seems warm, lol), it would just be wasting money for sake of brand 🙂

  2. My husband and I were married in Jackson Hole in July, and we went back for a ski trip with our son a couple years later. Needless to say, we LOVE JH. The summer is amazing! …so is the winter. Your pictures brought back all sorts of memories 🙂

  3. You can save your chats, when you look at your story, click on those three little dots to the right. When you see the little downward arrow, click on it, and your whole chat will be saved in your camera roll.

  4. Oh man, I've never been in winter, but you've got me dying to! My husband and I have been talking about going on a snowmobiling trip through Yellowstone before the winter is over! We used to go there almost every summer as a kid. We mostly hiked, picniced, and shopped. It's awesome to see all the wildlife. The alpine slide is fun for kids. I love Jackson Hole!
