Alright, ladies! I’ve shared a few sneak peeks here and there of Ava’s room but today I’m sharing the FULL post with all the details on her new big girl room! It’s safe to say I definitely have more masculine taste when it comes to my interior style but for my little girl’s room, it was all about pink pink pink (…in a tasteful way)!
As you girls have probably noticed on my previous home posts I’m really into more masculine style with a bit of edge and not a ton of color. I’m most definitely not a pink person 😉 but it’s Ava’s favorite color so for her room, we went all in. The kids’ rooms are probably some of my favorite rooms in the house because we were able to go a little more playful with them and I’m SO happy with how they turned out!
Okay, let’s talk furniture. We knew that the sleepover stage is right around the corner so a bed with a trundle was a must! I think the one we bought is sold out now but similar HERE and HERE. In Ava’s last room we had too much furniture and there wasn’t a ton of space for her to play so with this one we really wanted to keep the furniture minimal and the vibe open and airy.
Our architect created this amazing wall closet and LOVE how it turned out! It’s been great for storing her toys as well and helps keep down on the clutter. Ava has always loved hanging out in my makeup vanity so I knew I wanted to incorporate one for her in her new big girl room too…. so we carved out space in the middle of the wall closet and she is OBSESSED.
How fun is this wallpaper?!
The hunt for wallpaper was a struggle as I knew I wanted something girly and playful but not cheesy. I saw this Wallpaper and fell in love immediately. It’s on SALE now HERE. The print is definitely a statement so we only used it on a few walls in her room.
My interior designer (RailiCA design) found this adorable Giraffe and Bubble Gum print from Ivy and Wilde and Ava went nuts for it!
One of the very first pins I pinned on my New Home board for Ava’s room back we were starting our build was This One. I loved the playful vibe and the neon sign. I knew I wanted to incorporate one in her room so we ordered ours off of Etsy. I wanted something fun and personal and the saying we picked is something that Ava and I have been saying for years. (and it’s true right?! 😉 Wish you guys could have seen her face when it went up! Her walls in her room are Simply White by Benjamin Moore but we did a soft baby pink behind her bed so the neon sign would pop a bit more (although now looking at it, I probably should have gone a shade or two darker) A lot of you had messaged about her neon sign and honestly they have several amazing options HERE. You just have to find the font and style you prefer.
Lastly, we added in these really small (and inexpensive) side tables, brass task lamps, tons of mismatched pillows (linked below), this leather pouf and two layered rugs (linked below) to bring it all together.
and there you have it! Ava’s fun, girly and playful new Big Girl room!
Linked pretty much all of the items here but feel free to leave comments below and I’ll try to answer them!
Next up I’ll be sharing Luca’s Room!
