Halloween Partyyyy Decor

Happy Mondayyy! It’s Halloween week and we are trying to squeeze in as many spooky Halloween themed activities as we can 😉 I mentioned before that we were throwing a Halloween party for some of our closest families this weekend and it was a hit! I absolutely love party planning and entertaining but i’ll be honest it is SO much work! That’s probably why it has  been two years since we hosted a big bash! I figured this year Ava would really enjoy it and next year might be too chaotic with another little one in the household ;))) so i’m really glad we did it!  I swear I was planning/prepping weeks in advance but why is it that you’re always rushing to get everything finished right up until the last second before people show up?! I really wanted to photograph everything but ending up snapping as many pics with my phone as I could before all the little fingers got into everything. So here we go with some shots from our Halloween party…….
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile you probably recognize some of this set up from last year when I did a small girls night in around Halloween. I used a lot of the same elements (because lets be honest what other time of year can you use glittery skulls, spiders, and black martini glasses) and also helped save on cost since I had a lot of these pieces already. I just added a champagne tub and some spider webs in-between the clear wine bottles with candlesticks this year.
I got this plastic dagger from Party City and loved how real it looked! I originally bought it to put in a cake on the dessert table but ending up liking it more on the cheese platter.
I bought this Cava from Trader Joe’s and loved how it looked in the champagne tub with all black bottles. It’s inexpensive too so perfect for throwing parties! I added some black candle sticks in the ice to add a little something extra.
We had this folding table (from Costco) for Ava’s first birthday and know we will use a ton in the years to come. I bought this disposable black skirt and white table cloth from Party City and added a spider web runner from Target to the top.
I really wish I would have taken more pictures at night because everything really came to life! We had orange flickering lights in the bushes and candles all around. We also had strobe lights shooting up at the spider webs and looked so neat at night. Not to mention Ava was obsessed with the fog machine 😉
I picked up the majority of these platters from TJMaxx a couple weeks ago and they were all super cheap! I  tried to buy pieces (like the cake stands  and double patisserie stand) that I would be able to use again for other parties!
Lots of yummy treats and lets just say the kids took full advantage of the dessert bar! Thank goodness we had a small bounce house 😉
This little skull paper bag was actually a goodie bag that ended up being too small for all the goodies I got for the kids. I really loved the print so I cut the bottoms off and put a little battery operated flickering light inside that lit up a night.

I added lots of little spiders to the table and a skeleton to one of the platters to give it a little more Halloween appeal. I had purchased those spider web baskets and ended up not having anything to put in them so I flipped them upside down and just used them as a stand for my mini mum arrangements (mercury stemless wine glasses also from TJMaxx to put flowers in).

and one last snapshot of some of the backyard decor! I hope you girls enjoyed the pics and Happy Halloween Week! ;))
