Get The Look -American Hustle

It’s safe to say this mama could use a date night! Any time we get one the hubs and I pretty much always head straight for the movies. I saw the preview for American Hustle a few months ago and I can not wait to go see it! It has an awesome cast Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner to name to a few and i’m dying over all the 70’s inspired fashion! It’s safe to say the 70’s are my favorite style era and i’m SO glad so much of the fashion is currently on trend now! I live for jumpsuits, plunging necklines, sequins, crochet details, oversized sunglasses and fun flirty cocktail jewelry! If you haven’t seen it already you can check out the trailer HERE!

It probably comes as no surprise that I was most inspired by Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence characters in the movie. I would have loved to wear ANY of their outfits! I’ve put together a few pieces below to recreate some of the looks from the movie….

Bring on the 70’s disco chic with these accessories! It’s all about faux fur collars, sky high platforms (can you believe those are from Forever 21?!), statement jewelry and wide brim hats!

You can pair just about any of those accessories with these plunging neckline dresses and wide leg jumpsuits!

and for that daytime 70’s vibe you can’t go wrong with these pieces….

Classic print wrap dresses , floppy brim fedoras, cat eye frames, and comfy platform wedges are just a few of my favorite styles from the film! I also have these high waist jeans and the crop top on the top left and LOVE them! Outfit post to come soon with those!

  1. 70s was definitely my favorite fashion decade too! We haven't been to the movies since before Kaitlyn was born! Will have to bookmark this movie for Netflix when it comes out!
