Fall Festive

Well here we are with a 5pm post that I meant to post first thing is morning ;)but things have been SO BUSY around here lately. I can only imagine how much more crazy it will be once our little boy arrives in February! I posted a few of these shots on my instagram last week but wanted to share our Halloween Mantel and a cheap and easy DIY I did as well.
Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday! My husband isn’t really into it so i’m beyond excited that now I have Ava to share in all the Fall Festiveness! We have been pumpkin patching, cookie baking, pumpkin carving and decorating the house!  Ava likes to call them “Hallowrations”. I guess it is a cross between halloween and decorations lol We also committed to throwing a Halloween party for a few our friends and families so I hope to have a full post on all that soon!
First up this pretty little arrangement I made! It’s perfect as a gift for a friend or used as a centerpiece!
The best part is it literally cost $10 to make! All you need are two bundles of Fall flowers and a medium size pumpkin from Trader Joes. Carve your pumpkin and  snip and place flowers as you normally would in a vase… Easy peasy!
Now onto our Halloween mantel……..
This year I purchased a couple candle bras from Michaels and stocked up on black candlesticks. I reused our Pottery Barn crows from last year and some spider webs from Target (ps these are a lot more difficult to put up then they look lol). I also snagged these Two black skulls (which are actually candles that I snipped the wick) and  a pre-lit Trick or Treat Burlap banner from Target as well! I’m so happy with how it all turned out!
Next up Halloween Party Decor!

  1. Love this! Question…does the trick or treat banner have to be plugged in for the lights to work? I don't have a plug near my mantle, but I want to get this banner! Thanks!
