How I’m Repairing My Damaged Hair with L’Oreal

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of L’Oréal® Paris Elvive. The opinions and text are all mine.

It’s been a minute since I talked hair on the site, but I promise I have some hair content coming your way this spring and summer, starting today!

If you girls noticed, I’ve actually been in the slowwww process of lightening my hair over the last year or so after going crazy dark last year. I’m FINALLY at a place where I really like the color, but we all know what hair goes through when lightening it, right? It’s been a process, that’s for sure, and my hair has been feeling super dry and broken lately, probably because of the color. You girls probably are in the same boat, but my hair is dead from constant heat and styling – especially if I’m shooting a lot of content for The Honeybee.

But I’m all about healthy hair, so I’ve been prioritizing getting it back to better shape and feel. L’Oréal actually has this genius quiz that you can take online here and it’ll determine how damaged your hair is and which of their L’Oréal Paris Elvive products can help your hair without having to try a million things. LOVE that idea because between the new house, the kiddos, and lots of trips…I just cannot make another decision at the moment LOL. And, I also don’t have time for treatments in the salon. You girls are probably the same, yea?

The quiz covers and suggests a pretty big range of products based on what your hair care needs are. There’s everything from the Total Repair 5 Protein Recharge to the Elvive Extraordinary Oil and Color Vibrancy Repair and Protect Balm – No matter what your hair care needs are, this new line has you covered.

My quiz results told me I needed the L’Oréal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm which wasn’t a huge surprise – my ends were a hot mess and everything felt damaged. Then, after reading more about the product, it sounded perfect and I was excited to try! I’ve always liked L’Oréal and have actually used the brands for years. They have a great price point and their products have always worked well with my hair. The Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm, that I purchased at Walgreens, is supposed to work after one use and can take off up to a year’s worth of damage #YESSS please.

I’m all about products that happen overnight and this one was pretty amazing, and I’m excited to share my results with you girls.

Basically, after using this one time, I noticed that my ends looked WAY better, my hair felt stronger but super soft at the same time. My color even looked better because everything was glossy – and overall my hair looked and felt as healthy as ever.

I also loved reading about the Total Repair 5 Protein Recharge after my quiz so I scooped that up, too.  It protects up to 450 degree heat and is great for you girls who use heat tools on the regular like me. This also works SO well after one use and my hair loved the combo of the products. I’ll 100% be using this whenever I need it or after a heavy week of shooting and styling.

The Elvive Extraordinary Oil is another I added to my cart because my ends are really dry. I love adding an oil to them after I wash my hair and let it air dry to help with my split ends. It’s non greasy, super light weight and my hair is much more manageable after I use it.

If you have issues with color treated hair, the Elvive Color Vibrancy Repair and Protect Balm may be for you. I havent tried this one yet but it’s supposed to help bring some life and vibrancy back into your life if it’s looking a bit dull.

So if you girls are kinda lost with what to do with your hair right now, definitely take the quiz! It’s quick and I loved how it told me exactly what to buy for my hair type. And if any of you girls are on the damaged hair bus with me, try the balm – I think you’ll LOVE. Find out more about the L’Oréal Paris Elvive L’Oréal Elvive products here. You can purchase them online or in store at Walgreens too.

  1. Thank you so much for the post! I use the balm and protein recharge. I will have to give the oil a try. Your hair looks great by the way! I also have to ask, what eye shadow and eyeliner are you wearing? You look flawless as always!
