Toddler Products

First things first! When the kind people over at Vtech offered to send me their top rated baby monitor for review I gladly accepted! A video monitor is my NUMBER ONE MUST HAVE since having Ava. I seriously don’t know what we would do without it!

This Vtech Safe & Sound video monitor has just about every feature you could imagine! It’s wall mountable, plays 5 different lullabies from the camera, gets up to 1000ft range, has 6 levels of sound indicator, a vibration sound alert in parent unit, automatic infrared night vision,  zoom in camera option, adjustable camera angle, and it supports up to 4 baby units so it can be used in different rooms with split screen viewing! My two favorite features on this monitor is the temperature sensor and the fact that theres no white noise on the parent unit! I can’t tell you how many times the hubby and questioned each other if it was to cold or to hot for Ava in her nursery. Now theres no more guessing! If you’re looking for a video monitor I highly recommend checking this one out! For more info on Vtech monitors check out the Vtech Website or like the  Vtech Facebook Page.
I wanted to say thank you again to all mamas for your suggestions on sippy cups. Your suggestions were super helpful. The majority of you said the tommee tippee were great about being spill proof and these have worked GREAT for us! We experienced a couple days of Ava not be super excited about making the transition from her bottle but she is on board now and these don’t leak! I recommend these as well if you’re looking for spill proof sippy cups.
Another must in our house is the Angel Dear Napping Blanket. We’ve had the little size one since she was a baby but recently started giving her the napping blanket to sleep with. We only give it to her at bedtime so it signals sleep time (which is great for establishing sleep when we traveling). She LOVES her blanket…lets just hope she doesn’t turn out like Linus from Charlie Brown lol.
In the snack department these are all a hit with Ava. She loves the sweet potato pancakes with spelt. I purchase them from Whole Foods and they’re perfect no brainer healthy meal for early mornings. The other items are always in my diaper bag on hand for those mini melt down moments 😉 What healthy snacks are your little ones loving?! Its always nice to hear more options as the little one seems to get burnt out quickly on the same snacks!

  1. Have you tried the Little Duck organic dried fruits? They are my daughter's absolute favorite! They sell them at Whole Foods and I bring them everywhere we go. Totally buying the sweet potato pancakes for my little lady!

  2. I usually cut up the organic blueberries in half and feed my toddler these as an alternative. She gobbles them up. 🙂 I also bring a banana for her to chew on. I've also brought some small slices of cheese for her to eat.

Just curious, has your doctor recommended that your toddler take a multivitamin yet? If so, what brand do you give her? Do you mix it with her juice?

    1. oh yes Ava is obsessed with blueberries! And you know my pediatrician hasn't recommend a multi vitamin yet but ill def be asking her on the next visit!

  3. On an unrelated topic, have you tried Miranda Kerr's green drink. It has maca, goli berries, chia seeds, spirulina, among others. I would love to know what you think of her power drink! I think she's a certified dietrician.

She also drinks noni juice 2x a day. Have you tried noni juice? I personally think it tastes gross. But apparently it's very nutritious. I would love to know of a way to make this juice more drinkable.

I just found your website through Catalina Su's. I love how you eat so healthy and still manage to be fit. Keep it up!

  4. Thanks for sharing! I love seeing what items are popular with other moms! My little one LOVES Happy Yogis (we get them at Whole Foods, but I have seen them at Target too) and Trader Joe's version of Pirate's Booty! We also use Tommy Tippee, but we use the one with the flip top straw (much better for my LO and if I flip the top I can throw it in the diaper bag and it doesn't leak). He also LOVES Starbucks banana bread (I help him by eating the nuts). Yogurt is also a bit hit with him. I get either Stonyfield baby or toddler yogurt, or Trader Joe's vanilla/blueberry and cream six packs.

  5. i couldnt agree more about the tommee tippee sippy cups…they are amazing!!!! loving all these items-p.s. CC goes through those gerber crunchie things like WHOA 😉

  6. Hey Andee I know this is off topic but what size are your MIKOH swimwear bottoms I think you have the black with strappy sizes. We are about the same size and just wondering which size you went with? I don't wanna order till I'm 100% that they will fit 🙂 Thanks! xoxo

  7. My little one loves Clif Kid Z Bars from Clif Bar. Thery're organic and are a bit more filling.
    I can't find a straw sippy that doesn't leak! I love your blog! 🙂

  8. I have been following your blog for some time now and I would love love LOVE a grand ol' post on what you recommend for all new moms om their baby registry! Considering babies r' us just has you register for the entire store, I always seek out blogs for all MY answers! xoxo

  9. Thanks for your review on these three products. I like the idea of the video monitor and then combining that with the napping blanket you will have one peacefully sleeping baby.
