Body After Baby

Now that I have finally started cardio again I wanted to track my Postpartum progress!  So far i’ve lost 25 lbs with just eating clean and non stop breastfeeding. I still have about 5 lbs to go and a bit of toning to do. I’m hoping by incorporating cardio sessions, continuing to eat right and doing my “At home mommy strength training” Ill be able to drop those last few lbs!

  1. Girl you look amazing!!!! I'm hoping to lose all my baby weight after the little man is born I've heard breastfeeding really does it, and obviously your proof! Keep it up

  2. Wow you look amazing! I could only dream to look like that and I had my baby 12 months ago! Look forward to seeing your progress x

  3. Girlfriend you look amazing!! I'm so glad you're doing a postpartum progress section… I'm 38 weeks and starting to wonder when/how I'll be able to get back in shape after having the baby… Love following your blog and instagram, Thanks for sharing with all of us!

  4. you look great Andee, you are such an inspiration to me. I'm already thinking of my workout post delivery 😀 How soon is it safe to start weight training and high impact exercise after giving birth?

    1. Thank you so much! i actually waited to do anything till after my 6 week postpartum check up. Around 8 weeks I started taking a Ballet barre class once or twice a week mixed with walking a couple days a week as well. I just started jogging again this week and hoping to get back to my old routine very soon (working out 3 to4 times a week)

  5. You look amazing! Good luck with losing the last few pounds (though by that picture, it doesn't look like you need to). You should do a post with a break down of what you do for strength training (reps, sets…etc). I'd love to see it!

  6. You've always had a great body Andee. I was even envious when you were pregnant! I am currently on the "I need to lose 5 lbs" track. It's hard to lose those pesky pounds!

  7. You look great! I am definitely enjoying the last few months of pregnancy, but I will be SO ready to 'get my body back' as well!

    xoxo,
    Brooke

  8. Ive really become addicted to Zumba. Its great cardio, especially if you find a good instructor with your style of music. Plus an hour goes by so fast!

  9. You look beyond awesome, but just a helpful hint: I began doing Pure Barre recently to whip my post baby body back into shape and I am more fit than I have ever been in my life. Between chasing my little guy around, eating clean, and Pure Barre I find I don't even need cardio, unless I want to throw it in to mix it up. Body weight training is the best thing I have discovered in pursuit of getting seriously toned. Also, Power Yoga which really embodies the same principals. Love your blog! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  10. Dang girl! You look great, I think the 'last 5 pounds' you're holding onto are your boobs! And those aren't going anywhere until you stop nursing…then you'll wish you had them back 😉

  11. Firstly, you look AMAZING! Secondly… please, please, please share some tips for toning the tummy/waistline — I am having the hardest time getting that area long and lean.

  12. Looking hot mama!!! The last 5 were the hardest for me And it Truly is amazing what breastfeeding can do for us!! I'm hoping now after baby #2 I'll lose it just as easily… Fingers crosses!!!

  13. You look great! My little girl is six weeks old and I can't get the last twelve pounds to budge! My Dr said your body can hold onto up to 15 pounds when you are breastfeeding. I hope that is the case for me!

  14. Andee, you are gorgeous. You are an inspiration even for those of us who haven't even had kids! You look amazing, keep up the good work. BTW, I was debating whether to take a ballet barre class or not but after reading your comments about it, I think I will go for it.

  15. You look amazing! I'm 7 weeks out and I just started the Insanity workout to get rid of the last 10 pounds I gained with my son. You are def my inspiration 🙂

  16. Andee you look great! I'm 9 months postpartum and have lost most of the weight breastfeeding, but have not been motivated to eat well or workout (both of which I did before baby) since I had him. I know it would be easy to lose the last few pounds, but not motivated…pretty sure I just got fully motivated though 🙂 Thanks for your tips!
