Beauty Must Haves for Spring

Hi ladies! I hope you all had a great weekend! I have been receiving a lot of requests and questions lately about my makeup products, so today I am teaming with Nordstrom and sharing all of my Beauty Must Haves for Spring with you girls!

For me Spring makeup is all about fresh and effortless but also having a great base! I love creating a great base of makeup with some really killer products and then adding a little glow and a fun pop of color with a pretty lip or playful eye. So here we go with my Spring Makeup Staples….

For Foundations I have three that are in my current rotation. This Estee Lauder Double Wear Light (I wear it in 3.0) is my go to! I like more of a medium to full coverage foundation and this stuff lasts ALL day long! This is the foundation I usually wear in my blog shoots and love that I don’t need to reapply through out the day. I also am a big fan of the  Laurier Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Foundation (I wear Cashew Beige). This stuff has the best color match and a little bit goes a long way so the tube last for quite some time. Lastly This Armani Silk Foundation goes on like butter and gives flawless coverage as well.
I also am so curious to try out This Foundation and This One (as they both got amazing reviews) if you girls have tried them please let me know what you think!

I’m all for that contour ladies! When done correctly, contouring really can make such a difference in your face shape. I started contouring a few years ago and am addicted now. The key to contouring is blend, blend and blend! I love to contour but still like it to look natural too. I own several different items in the contouring department but these are my go to’s!

The YSL touche éclat (in shade 2 Luminous Ivory) is a staple in my makeup drawer. I use it as a base to start with and put it down the bridge of my nose and tops of my cheeks. I then use the highlight from THIS Charlotte Tilbury set (my favorite highlighter EVER) and go over top of the bridge of my nose and tops of my cheeks again.

I really like a cream contour stick. They are so much easier to use and THIS ONE by Bobbi Brown is great! I use the stick as a base and go down the sides of my nose, hollows of my cheeks and temple/hair line. This stick has a bit of warmth to it which is perfect for creating that Spring time warmth/glow to your face. After wards I will go over all the places I used my cream contour stick and set it with powder contour like THIS ONE from Anastasia. The kit is amazing and I love the variety of colors and that it has. There is also a yellow setting powder for under eye circles as well. I also just stumbled upon THIS Cream contour palette  and it totally caught my eye.

For Spring I like to get a little more playful with color. I swap out my standard black mascara for This Burgundy One from YSL. The plum color makes my eyes pop and I like that this shade is more of a natural color purple vs some of the really vibrant color mascara I have seen out there.

As for eyeshadows pretty much 75% of mine are from Mac. The colors and quality always have me going back for more. My favorite combo for Spring are these three colors… All the Glitters (on the lid), Saddle in the crease and Swiss Chocolate on the over V and lower lash line. It’s a classic and subtle combo that is my go to for any special occasion. I also have my eye on this gorgeous palette!

Again for Spring its all about a little more color! Blush is a must and I use THIS ONE by Mac in Peaches. I also love Their Cream Blush  (in Something Special) when I am going for a more natural everyday look.

and lastly you girls have heard me rave about THIS CONCEALER before but it’s my favorite! I use it in the color Ocre. As someone with serious dark circles under my eyes this stuff is worth every penny in my opinion. I also use THIS ONE from Mac (in NW25) which is a little more budget friendly for under $20.

On another note I have been seeing color corrector palettes everywhere lately! Have you girls used them and have any you recommend?! I have my eye on THIS ONE and heard it got great reviews!

I hope this was helpful for you ladies and as always I LOVE to know what your makeup staples are!

  1. Great product recommendations! I used the CDP concealer too and have totally agree – worth every penny. A little goes a long way and I've had mine for quite some time. I've really been interested in contouring – currently I only work with a highlighter. I just am not sure exactly what to do and which products to work with on the daily. Would love if you could put together a quick little how-to video on contouring.

    1. worth every penny right?! And i agree the tube lasts quite some time! And yes I was just thinking I should put together a quick little contour video for you guys! Ill probably post on my snapchat first! xo

  2. Hi Andee, I have brown eyes, but I am going to order that mascara in Burgundy. Also, I am so happy that they have brown color, as well. Brown mascara for some reason is so difficult to find. Anyway, what nail polish are you wearing in last picture? Looks like gel polish…

  3. Ooh I have heard so many good things about the Estee lauder double wear but didn't know it came in a lighter formula I want to try it for sure! As for under eye circles Becca under eye corrector, if applied properly, under concealer really works great. I'm a big fan of Mac peaches as well as the anastasia contour kit. I have had both for a while and always go back to them. The clay de peu concealer has always had me wondering, so maybe I'll give it a try. Xoxo

  4. I LOVE your beauty and home posts. I've been meaning to try that Cle de Peu concealer as I have dark undereye circles too. Did you see the MAC eyeshadow pans are $6 now?
