One of my frequently asked DMs is what lip color am I wearing. I definitely have a type when it comes to lip colors and am all about a natural (but enhanced color) for everyday wear. I have several products that are in my weekly rotation so today I’m sharing my most used products to create a natural (but better!) everyday lip. Today I’m breaking down all of my tried and true brands and sharing my most used lipstick, liners and glosses. So let’s talk lipssss…
Like Cle de Peau will always be my holy grail concealer, Velvet Teddy and Stripdown lipliner will always be my lip staples. That being said, I’ve ventured out over the past couple years and have added some new favorites to my lip line up.
Top Lipstick Brands (and colors)
I have to give it to her in the lipstick department. I really do love her nude cream lipsticks (I use colors 2 and 2.5). The packaging of her lipsticks is gorg and the colors and consistency are pretty perf. As for her lipliners, I’m not a huge fan of the quality of the packaging, but the colors and textures are on point (I have all four lipliners from 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 ).
Nudestix and Nars
I use several products from the Nudestix line (more to come on those soon) but as far as lips, I really love their chubby stick lip pencil in Entice. Another favorite is Nars Velvet Matte chubby lip pencils. Good Times is in heavy rotation over here.
Of all the lip products, my lipliner collection tops them all. I’m definitely a lipliner junkie and love that they just effortlessly enhance your pout. Most days I add a little chapstick, line my lips and I’m out the door. Here are my top favorite brands (colors included).
If you don’t know who Patrick Ta is, add him to your Instagram list to follow immediately (if you love beauty!). He is a celeb makeup artist who just came out with his own line at Sephora and I’m obsesssssed with him! I’ve purchased 6 of his products in the last month and keep going back for more. His lipliners are my newest addiction and I own 3 of the 4 colors he made…
The packaging is ammmazing and I love that the lipliners have a click button on the bottom rather than having to resharpen your pencils.
Mac lipliners used to dominate my makeup drawer but now I just stick to a few staples like…
Stripdown (So good! Especially if you like to slightly overline your lips like me!)
Oak (More of a nude beige – another good one for overlining.)
NYX (drug store must!)
For drug store options you really can’t beat NYX! I have been using their liners for almost a decade and they are amaze, especially for the price point!
Ulta is having a buy one get one 50%OFF promo right now too!
Always an Urban Decay fan, especially in their lipliner department. They def make the most moisturizing ones. I don’t even have to use a chapstick with them they’re that good. My top go-to Urban Decay colors are…
And if you want that 90’s more bold vibe, check out 1993.
As mentioned above… Iconic Nude is a MUST!
Let’s Talk Gloss
Lastly, let’s talk gloss. After years and years of being gloss free, I’m really into it again! I have a few favorite brands, so here are my top ones I’m into right now…
Nudestix – Nude plumping lip glace in number 6.
And this Lancôme Rosy Plump gloss that was sent to me in a PR mailer that I always reach for.
Have you girls tried any of these?! Not that I need any more lip products 😉 but ALWAYS curious to hear what you girls are obsessed with too!
