Travel Guide // Cabo San Lucas

Alright ladies if you follow along on insta stories you saw that I headed down to Cabo a couple weeks ago with some girlfriends for a little early Mother’s Day getaway. I always miss my babies when I am away but let me just say some kid free R&R with girlfriends is ALWAYS good for the soul. So here’s a recap for you ladies with a MAJJJOR photo overload and my Travel Guide to Cabo San Lucas!

I shared so many snaps of this place on insta-stories and seriously feel like I need to start a Vlog  so I can post the videos for you on here because these pics don’t even do this place justice! I had been DYING to stay at The Cape Hotel  so this girls trips seemed like the perfect time to check it out.

Let me just start by saying this place did. not. disappoint. It was BEYOND stunning and the service was amazing. I am on a serious architecture and interior design kick right now and The Cape Hotel was unlike any place i’ve experienced before. It was lively, hip, sexy, relaxing, beautiful and chill all at the same time.

I went with five of my close mama friends and we stayed in this amazing oceanfront villa. Can we just talk about this patio and view?!  The location of The Cape is the furthest down the strip has the best views of the famous El Arco and Lovers Beach. We woke up every morning and relaxed with our coffee on the patio and watched the surfers down below.

Ugh even posting this today SO has me missing this incredible view!

(outfit details below)

We couldn’t have asked for a better room! We had a full kitchen, dining and living room.

Seriously couldn’t beat this morning view off my side of the patio.

The bathrooms were huge and I immediately fell in love with the decor there.

Honestly ever inch of this property is photo worthy!

There are tons of different activities and things to do in Cabo but we honestly had no agenda besides eating, drinking and relaxing. We all have at least two kids each so just being kid free for a few days with these views was MORE than perfect! Can I get an amen ;))

If you are looking for activities to do I would highly recommend going down to the marina and grabbing a water taxi to take you over to El Arco and Lover’s Beach. The hubby and I went years ago before we had kids and it was so beautiful! They also have swimming with dolphins and horseback riding as well.

I also just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all you girls who showed so much love on this selfie I posted on insta when I was there. You girls sure no how to make a mama feel good and I plan on posting some fitness and clean eating posts for you girls who asked soon!

Ruffled Bikini Top (but FYI the bottoms weren’t the best cut so i’d recommend these similar styles HERE and HERE) Obseesed with These Cut Offs, Sunnies, Sandals and This Wide Brim on repeat again

(Sunnies // My layered necklaces HERE and HERE and Shorts wearing a size 25)

The main bar/lounge area was on another level. It had a killer outdoor open concept with more amazing views.

Our morning daily breakfast spot!

(Pom Pom Cover Up available as well in White HERE)

and a nightly pre dinner trip to The Rooftop Bar at our hotel was a must!

They have live entertainment and the views are absolutely incredible. Even if you don’t stay at this hotel I would recommend at least popping in for drinks up top!

(White Open Back Maxi // Straw Tote (sold out but another favorite HERE) // Statement Earrings)

We went to Manta, at The Cape Hotel the first night we were there and it’s definitely one of the sexiest and chicest restaurants i’ve been to in Cabo. It has a Miami kind of vibe to it and the girls and I basically closed down the restaurant that night 😉

Beach. Eat. Drink. Repeat

(Hat (available in black HERE)// Ruffle Bikini (sold out but also available in an adorable gingham print HERE)

We had quite a few restaurants we wanted to check out on our trip so we planned ahead to make sure we go to squeeze them all in. Out of all the times we’ve been to Cabo we had never been to the famous Flora Farms. We made a reservation there on our last trip but had to cancel because Luca ended up getting sick. This trip we literally headed there straight from the airport.

Ladies I can not rave about this place enough! It is seriously the most charming spot and if I could get married all over again it would seriously be here! The property is so gorgeous (I shared so much on insta stories if you girls caught it) and the food was the best of our entire trip. Basically we will be eating there every time we’re back in town!

Wide Brim Hat (have worn this hat for over three years now!) // Dress (i’m wearing an XS and it’s on major SALE now)// and Super Comfy Sandals (perfect for Day to Night Vacay Style)

Hands down THE BEST. MARGARITAS. in town!

The ingredients are super fresh and unique. I mean really where else can you get a beet and ginger margarita?! They also had a carrot margarita that was amazing as well.

I can’t tell you how excited I got when I saw this spread! Farm to Table concepts are my jam and EVERYTHING we had was seriously delish! All the girls agreed this was by far our best meal of the trip.

This beet salad was so good and every dish had the prettiest presentation.

I inhaled that kale salad and am STILL dreaming about this meal!

EVERY inch of this place is adorable not to mention this cutest little homemade gelato cart!

So needless to say FLORA FARMS needs to be on your restaurant list! It’s super kid friendly too so we will definitely be bringing Ava and Luca on or next trip. FYI it is about 25 minutes away from all the main hotel area. It looks like you are going to the middle of nowhere down a random dirt road (so don’t be alarmed) but you’ll be so happy when you arrive at this beautiful spot!

Back at the hotel and on repeat 😉

Wide Brim Hat // Ruffle Trim Bikini

Seriously this place is HEAVEN

Obsessed with This Zimmerman Ruffled Bikini Top! I’m wearing it with This Fringe Trim Wrap (limited left in stock so another print HERE and HERE) and my go to Haviana Sandals

It was all about effortless and flowy on this trip! (dress details linked above)

One of those days where you head straight from the pool to dinner

If you’re looking for a killer one piece that is super flattering I really love This One. I wore it with this comfy High Waist Maxi Skirt (available in another print HERE and HERE), This Mini Straw Tote  and This Budget Friendly Black Wide Brim Hat.

The Stunning Views at Esperanza

One night before we went into town for dinner, we hopped over to Esperanza for drinks. The resort and views are breaktaking! The hubby and I  did dinner there years ago and LOVED it! If you’re looking for romantic spots I recommend  The restaurant at Esperanza (They filmed the movie The Heart Break Kid with Ben Stiller there) and I also recommend El Farron at The Resort at Pedergal .They’re both cliffside restaurants with spectacular views. FYI If you’re heading to either for drinks without a reservation just have your hotel notify them first because there are gated entrances at both.

Dinner Details in The Perfect Little Cabo Dress ( and straw box clutch is from Reformation)

For dinner we wanted to try somewhere new so we originally headed into town to Bar Esquina. Well turns out they didn’t have our reservation so we literally walked a block down the street to our go to Cabo restaurant, Edith’s. We had heard good things about Bar Esquina but i’d be lying if I said I wasn’t happier that we ended up back at Edith’s.

The whole vibe inside is so charming and just feels like you’re truly on a mexico vacay. This spot is super family friendly too if you’re bringing your little ones.

The Cape was such an amazing hotel and I can’t wait to go back there with my hubby one day! A lot of you were asking what property we liked best but it’s difficult because they are so different. I would say that The Cape is definitely geared to more of a kid free experience (which is why we picked it because lets be honest, there’s nothing worse than going on a vacay and seeing families and then start missing your own). So I would definitely say The Resort at Pedregal would be better if you’re traveling as a family. If you’re kid free then DEFINITELY experience The Cape! It was incredible!

I hope this was helpful for you girls and please feel to share your favorite Cabo spots! I’m always excited to find new places to try as well. xo

  5. Hi! Heading to Cabo this June. Do you recommend renting a car? What do y’all use for transportations? Are the taxi companies safe and reliable? Thank you!!

    1. Hi love we always book a private car transport through the resort we stay out to and from airport (about 30 min ride). Once at the resort we usually just take taxis into town to dinner.
