My Everyday Skincare Hack for Smooth Skin

johnson's baby oil

One of the only things I don’t love about living in Southern California is how dry my skin can get any time of year. Today I’m sharing my everyday (affordable) skincare hack for smooth moisturized skin that I swear by! It’s something I’ve been doing for years and chances are you girls probably already have this product in your house!

This blog post is sponsored by JOHNSON’S® but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’m all about a quick moisture routine and i’ve been doing this pretty much the second I get out of the shower and my skin lalalovesss it! Funny enough, I use something I used to use on the kiddos (and still do sometimes) because I became hooked when using it with Luca. I’m all about those JOHNSON’S® products because what I’ve realized is their stuff is actually ahmazinggg on adult skin too. It’s obviously super gentle but also very hydrating and perfect for severely dry skin like mine.

Two of my fave products to note are the classic JOHNSON’S®  Baby Oil obviously 😉 and then the JOHNSON’S® Baby Gel with Shea and Cocoa Butter. I know there are a ton of expensive oils on the market, but I honestly think this stuff works better – plus it’s not gonna break the bank. The baby oil has a silky barrier to help prevent moisture from leaving your skin and locks in 10x more moisture and you can really see the difference. The gel smells amazinggg and the cocoa and shea butter is made with pure mineral oil and seriously sinks into my skin.

I’ve found that using it right out of the shower while my pores are open is when I see the best results. I’ll kind of pat my skin dry but leave a little bit of water on my skin, then use the baby gel alllll over. Seriously from my neck down. Then, once that settles in, I’ll use the baby oil to top things off. You’re supposed to use light to heavy products in terms of thickness when layering product, and since oil is the thickest, that goes last.

I’ll also use the baby oil on the ends of my hair if things are crazy dry or after a day at the beach or pool. I LOVE the oil on my cuticles too, both hands and feet.

For any mamas or girls dealing with dry skin, don’t shy away from these kid AND adult-friendly options because they’re too good to pass up and let you #babyyourskin. Plus, I’ve gotta say it’s so easy being able to use them on me or the kiddos and not having a million different products…I have plenty in the bathroom already lol!
