As any moms out there know, quiet moments alone happen very rarely these days. I love being a mom, but I’m not going to lie, there are times when you wish you could hit the pause button on the non stop crazy town ;). It’s so easy to get consumed with all the day to day of raising little ones and the balancing act is always a tricky one. So today i’m teaming up with Godiva and sharing how I squeeze in those little “me” moments everyday.
But as a friend and fellow mama taught me, motherhood is all about creating little “me moments” whenever possible. Something I’m not always great at, to be honest! But I’m trying to get better in creating those moments. Lately, that’s been while Luca naps, since he’s on a pretty regular routine (at least for now!). Instead of rushing through chores or even working, I’m TRYING to take 15-30 minutes to focus on myself and even treat myself to something special. At the moment, that involves a cup of coffee (the size of my head) and chocolate. Such a good combo right?? Especially for cold days in fall or winter.
I’ve been eating GODIVA chocolate for years – it’s one of my favorites because it’s so high quality, creamy, and I love their flavors and fun shapes. And their new GODIVA Masterpieces selection might top the list of favorites yet. It’s something I’m always stashing in my cart at the grocery store or Target, and then waiting until my me time to indulge. Each piece is individually wrapped and filled with something different and delicious, so it’s seriously like opening a little present to myself at nap time (and I don’t have to share with my kids lol #truth). It’s funny what a few minutes alone with my coffee and a chocolate can do for my sanity 😉
Mom or not, I’m pretty sure all women can agree that chocolate can solve most problems, so if you haven’t tried the GODIVA Masterpieces, you’re going to want to! You can thank me later 🙂 Pair it with a cozy setting and coffee (or wine, MMM) for the ultimate self-love moment.
