Life Lately // Via The Camera Roll

Morning ladies! I’m working on a Traveling With Kiddos post this morning tackling all your questions you left me on instagram yesterday. Today’s post is one I started last week with a little Life Lately via the camera roll so here we go……..
Someone’s first trip to the ice was a hit! We’ve been wanting to take Ava for sometime but felt like she was finally old enough this year (she’s 3.5) to really enjoy it and she truly did!

I LOVE being a mom. Even on the crazy hard days when I lose my shit patience and don’t tackle everything that I needed to for the day… I still love it. There are some days where bedtime seems years away;) but it’s the simplest little smirk, silly comment or hand hold that makes everything worth it. #TRUTH

Yummy Dessert at The Nasty Gal x RewardStyle dinner a couple weeks ago. I don’t get to head up to LA as much as I used to (especially with trying to coordinate child care for two little ones) but on the rare occasion that the event and my schedule works out, it’s always nice to attend them and meet other bloggers. Shoot to be honest i’m even flattered to be invited to some of these events with all the “big time gals”. When you go to these events you realize all these girls we come to know and follow on instagram are all just pretty normal girls doing their thang!
I got to hang with my girl Sophie Elkus from Angel Food Style. If you’re not following her, definitely check her out. I met her years ago and she is gorgeous and seriously just as pretty on the inside! I also hung with Devin Brugman from A Bikini A Day. She is SO chill, down to earth and really just one cool ass chick. 😉 Love that these girls feature all kinds of body types on their site too! 

 This dinner was to celebrate the launch of Courtney Loves line with NastyGal. If you girls haven’t shopped NASTYGAL I highly recommend it! It’s one of my favorite online sites that carries all my favorite brands. And yes the post man will look at you funny when he delivers your packages LOL.

Holla for date night! Don’t ask why but I have a closet full of clothes and ALWAYS gravitate towards black. I have worn This Off The Shoulder Top countless times and as you girls have probably seen on instagram along with this wrap choker a ton too.

As I posted on instagram last week, this bag is probably my most asked about bag.  I think there are  two slightly different versions varying in texture, color and size. This is the exact link to the one I have HERE. It’s funny because I had seen this bag for years and never felt like I HAD to have it. Then I saw it came out in this grey color and instantly feel in love. I wasn’t so sure about how structured it was but now that’s what I absolutely love about it! I work away from home quite a bit and this bag fits my lap top (I have the MacBook Air) perfectly!! 
Celebrating a new business venture for the hubby and had dinner at Selanne’s Steak House in Laguna Beach. It’s such a charming spot and the food was great! Request to sit on the outside patio under these gorgeous chandeliers!

I am so happy about the sneaker trend happening now! High tops can be a little hard to pull off, especially on shorter girls like myself but I love these so much I had to snag them! Here are some other  favorite sneaks for everyday wear….

  3. I am a huge fan of the blog and have been for years! My hubby and I are heading out to Laguna Beach for some work related things for him and decided to make a mini (kid-free vaca) out of it! We are staying at the Montage and won't have a car. Could you please think of some must see places that aren't super far from the hotel (either walking distance or a short Uber ride away?) Thanks so much!

    1. Hi babe thanks so much and for following along over the years! xoxo You will LOVE the Montage! Luckily everything in Laguna is only a 5-10 min uber ride. I would definitely recommend grabbing a drink at The Deck or at The Roof Top bar. Sunset time is perfect at both those spots with incredible views. Definitely grab lunch at Urth Cafe and for everything else you really dont even have to leave your hotel. Montage is the best part about Laguna…the spa there is a 10!! Hope this helps xo

Life lately via The Camera Roll

Hi loves! I hope you’re all having a great week so far. We’ve been getting some much needed rain this week so lots of time to organize and finally take down all the Christmas decor. Today’s post is a little randomness via the camera roll and an instagram round up, so here we gooo….
Lazy Rainy Day hangs with my man! (His Sneaks // My Sneaks another favorite HERE and HERE)
Its been a minute since i’ve done a girls night in LA. I’ve been dying to try The Nice Guy and lets just say this place did not disappoint. It’s a super intimate celeb hot spot with craft cocktails and amazing food (you MUST have the fig & burrata crostini). It’s a bit tough to get a reservation so make sure you book in advance.
Grainy selfies with my girls (this place is also one of those “no photos allowed” restaurants) So we sneak em when we can 🙂

I wore my  Pointy Toe OTK boots  and Shag Vest // and her pretty lace pumps are Louboutin 
So in love with this sunglass box. I’d been eyeing it since last year and finally snagged it a couple months ago. I loved it so much I purchased it in white for my sister in law for Christmas.
A lot of you have asked about these sunglasses and they’re by Celine. They have been the HARDEST to track down but I found them back in stock now on sale HERE! Snatch em up before they’re gone again!

Sundays are for Cinnamon Rolls!
Someone asked on instagram if they were homemade…lol I wish. I have SO lagged in the “homemade” department lately;( These are the CINNABON ones by Pilsbury and are always a hit in our home! 
only 11 months old and he knows what’s up 😉

 A lot of you were asking for details on this look from instagram so here we go… Armani Foundation, this foundation stick for contouring (drug store version I also use HERE),  this highlight contour kit (using the highlighter on the bridge of my nose and tops of my cheeks, this Too Faced Palette on my eyes (cherry cordial on the lid and salted caramel on the crease), this liquid liner (drug store option HERE), this Brow Kit in Dark and lastly a little chapstick and drugstore NYX lipliner in the color “Natural”.

Welcomed  this new PhillipLim beauty to my closet last week and can’t wait to mix it up in my wardrobe! It’s sold out not but i’ve found four KILLER styles that are super similar and under $100 here!

I know they say date nights are so necessary when you have kids and let me just….DATE NIGHTS ARE SO NECESSARY when you have kids 😉 We’re attempting to make it a weekly thing and can’t tell you how much we both NEED and enjoy it. It goes without saying that our lives center around are kids so to be able to take a breather and spend some quality one on one time with the hubby is so important. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in work, playdates, school, after school activites that your relationship can be the first to go on the back burner. So we always, always appreciate these nights.

    1. Thanks so much Christy! Seems like a lot of you girls really love these posts so im going to attempt to do them more frequently. As for the workout posts I have been sharing snaps on my snap chat of my workouts but I need to do a more in depth post on the blog. I was also thinking about doing some sort of weekly post with different workouts I do. Thanks so much for the request and hopefully will have it up soon! xo

  8. Ok so I don't know if you're comfortable discussing this ,buttttt I thought I would ask. I'm your age and have 2 kiddos same age as yours too? and I have noticed I have aged a lot in my face since having my son. What are you doing as far as anti aging? I haven't done anything like botox/filler's but I feel like I want to!!? You look so refreshed and your skin is flawless, so any recommendations would be appreciated!

    1. girl don't worry I definitely feel like these kiddos have aged me too lol Fillers and botox are pretty common amongst all my friends here in SoCal but I havent done them…at least not yet lol I've just been really trying to stay out of the sun, take vitamins and eat well. I will definitely put together a post soon with all my current skin care regimen for you girls! I have a few new products i've been trying out but wanted to give them a few weeks before i did a full review xo

Life Lately via the Camera Roll

I hope you guys are all having a great week so far! I can’t believe its already December and now we’re already battling round two of colds and sniffles in our house (I guess thats what happens when the little ones start school). Here’s to hoping we kick these colds quickly because I finally talked the hubby into family pictures so this weekend well be doing those and getting our Christmas tree YEAH!  Okay here’s all kinds of randomness via the camera roll lately…..(I’m apologizing in advance again that some of my captions aren’t centered. I’m STILL having issues with the layout but hopefully new layout will be up before the new year!)

Pretty coffee table inspo at my girl Kathleen’s (from Carrie Bradshawl Lied) house. We met up a couple weeks ago to talk about an amazing organization called The Her Initiative. They help provide clean water to those in developing countries. There are so many things we take for granted in our daily lives so it was nice to have a get together with a cause. $25 a month gives clean water to 25 people! If you think about what we spend $25 dollars on daily it really puts things into perspective. If you’re interested you can donate monthly or just donate a flat fee like I did HERE.

My Best Friend came in town last week and LOVE getting our babes together! Can’t believe how big they all are now!

Last weekend my girlfriend and I took our babes to “CHILL” in Long Beach by the Queen Mary. I shared lots of snaps on my SnapChat (AndeeLayne) and would recommend it for my SoCal ladies who have kids. Ava was a little young to go on some of the ice slides (Would recommend for age 4 and up) but she still has a blast!

This girl has my heart! I seriously just sit and stare at her sometimes and can’t believe she’s mine. She’s turing into such a little lady and she cracks us up on the daily!

Life Lately (via the camera roll)

Happy Sunday Ladddies! I hope you all had a great weekend! Just a quick post today with a bunch of randomness via the camera roll lately……
My everyday comfy mama style

I can’t believe my little babe is already 3!! What the heck?! A lot of you asked about Ava’s  birthday party this year and to be honest there wasn’t really one. Luca was only 4 weeks old and we were all exhausted. I tried my best to make it special for her and think she was pretty happy with it all thankfully! I rented a bounce house for her and just had a couple of her little friends over to have cake and pizza. I got her cake from Susie Cakes in Newport Beach (for those of you who asked on instagram). She requested a pink cake but mama failed to call one in ahead of time. So she ended up with a blue one but I picked up some pink macaroons from Whole Foods to girly it up a bit (lets just say once the kids saw cake I don’t think they cared what color it was 😉
I’ve been wearing my FAVORITE Trench a lot lately and was so excited to be able to fit into my favorite flares again!  
This mama is ready to start working out again so new kicks were necessary! These are now sold out but here are  Similar styles I love HERE and HERE.
I can’t get enough of this little Old Navy maxi dress on her!

I’ll confess we haven’t been to church in awhile. It was quite a bit of work trying to keep this one entertained in the past but surprisingly on Easter Sunday she did so awesome! I’m thinking our little doughnut bribe might have helped 😉

I’ve mentioned it before but holidays are just SO much more fun now that Ava is a little older! She totally gets it all and I love being able to make each one exciting and special for her! I used to do little things for my husband and Louie 😉 before we had kids and neither of them were into one bit (Bah Humbug). So now i’m so stoked I can go all out and know a little certain someone will be all about it! 

We dyed (and dropped) a bunch of Easter eggs last week and decorated them with these pretty stickers from Target.

  3. So excited for Game of Thrones over here too!! If you don't mind me asking, what size do you wear in your Majorelle Flares? I usually wear a 25 in Paige, and I was wondering if they ran similar to Paige. Also (and I hope this isn't too personal, so I apologize if it is), do you know what the carat size of the center stone on your ring is? I'm debating between a classic solitaire and a halo, and I'm leaning towards the halo because I love the visual impact that it gives. If you don't mind sharing the size of your center stone, I would really appreciate it! We're just about to start the design process, and it would help me figure out what size to ask for. Thank you, and once again, I hope the question wasn't too personal, and I understand if you don't want to answer, but I would appreciate it if you did 🙂

  10. Aw these pictures are all so precious! We've haven't been to church in a while either. I miss it so, but trying to convince a toddler to be still or even hang out with the other kids during bible study is a disaster every time. At least you guys got to go on Easter! Life Lately (via the camera roll)

Morning Loves! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend 😉 I cant believe Christmas has already come and gone! I’ve posted a lot on my instagram but here are some random shots via the camera roll from our Decemeber! 
Christmas was so awesome with Ava this year! I feel like she is finally at the age where she gets it! She knows Santa lives in the North Pole and flies his reindeer to bring us toys…the whole bit! To see her face on Christmas morning light up when she saw presents under the tree was pure magic! I loved getting to go all the little Christmas traditions with her that my parents did for me when I was little!

The hubby also had a birthday this month and he requested another donut cake…no objections here 😉
Oh Lou! I think she is realizing she’s about to be out numbered by kiddos soon 😉 Also a  lot of you asked about this chair on instagram and Ava has LOVED it! Its from Pottery Barn and we’ll probably be buying another one for her little brother too! 
and I didn’t see this one coming! We went to Rogers Gardens to pick out our Christmas tree and Santa happened to be there. Lets just say last year didn’t go so well with Santa and we got the infamous crying slightly terrified picture of A on his lap 😉 So for months this year she was telling me she didn’t want to see Santa or sit on his lap. I wasn’t even going to bother waiting in the hour line again but when we happened to walk by his house she quickly rushed over and wanted to tell him about the pink puppy she wanted 😉 He gave her a candy cane and a little reindeer bell and lets just say she was over the moon all week telling everyone what Santa gave her. So sweet! 
Anyhow I hope you guys had a beautiful Christmas and it was just as magical!!

  7. I've always wanted to do that type of Christmas tree. I love yours.. Ava is adorable and I'm sure this Christmas was a very memorable one. Mine are 15 and 12 and every stage is a fun one.
