Honeybee Health: Healthy Todays for Happy Tomorrows (Sponsored Post)

When this opportunity came along with Pfizer to talk about the importance of doing things now for tomorrow to help have a healthier happier life as you age, I was immediately on board! I’m a firm believer in taking care of our bodies now so they can be as healthy as possible in the future. Nutrition is my biggest passion and it’s definitely one way that I make an effort to take care of my health. You girls know I’m a big believer in eating organic and unprocessed foods when possible. Eating Clean (focusing on lean proteins, complex carbs and tons of fruits and vegetables) has been a way of life for me for years now. It can be a bit of an adjustment at first if you’re not used to eating this way but after some time it can become like second nature to you. It’s about consistency and changing your eating habits to make it a way of life.  Here are some Honeybee Health random shots from last week…..

A typical breakfast of protein waffles, half a banana, ground chia seeds and a little agave.
A healthy stir-fry dinner in the making for the family of brown rice noodles and tons of veggies. I also added grass fed sirloin strips.
Out to eat I went with the grilled salmon, quinoa and beet salad…amazing!
Grilled chicken salad with walnuts, oven roasted tomatoes and goat cheese
a little afternoon snack of homemade kale salad

and then sometimes you just need a couple spoonfuls of Nutella 😉 Hey its all about a balance right?!

Along with healthy eating habits, the next step in living a healthy life….exercise! You don’t have to go hardcore at the gym everyday, Its just about moving! Get outdoors, go for walk,  or play sports with your little ones. Just be active! Anything you can do is better than nothing at all.
Lastly mental health and happiness is also huge factor in living a healthier life. I don’t know about you but as I’ve become older I started weeding certain people out of my life. You realize life is too short to be around negative energy. Don’t surround yourself with people who weigh you down or don’t support you. My happiest days are simple ones just spending time with my family.

Taking care of my health by making smart eating choices, staying active and spending time with my loved ones is how I make an effort to stay healthy now for tomorrow.

  • Get Old is an initiative developed by Pfizer  to challenge people of all ages to rethink what it means to Get Old and take a more active role in their health and quality of life at every age.  Whether it’s through watching what you eat, physical exercise, spending time with family and friends or participating in an activity you’re passionate about — each of us has the power to decide for ourselves how we want to Get Old. It’s not just about living longer, but living better.

  1. I looove seeing your nutrition/food posts. Always inspiring and delicious looking. I just posted my morning green smoothie today. 🙂 I grew up eating healthy and then kinda gorged when college first started and now I'm back to eating pretty well again. Love functional exercise like dog walking, gardening, and hiking + any quick HIIT training
