Randomness Via the Camera Roll

Morning Strolling with my babe
I’ve lived in Orange County over half of my life now and still take pictures like I’m a tourist. I definitely don’t take living here for granted!
The new kind of ladies who lunch (with my favorite lady in tow) Ps when you have a toddler on your hands there are no such thing as lunches lasting longer than 45 mins. 😉
If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw I spent part of my weekend in LA running some MOH duties 😉 I may or may not have wanted to try on every dress in the store myself lol.
After finding the perfect dress we headed over to one of my favorite LA spots Cecconi’s for a little bubbly lunch to celebrate!
My oldest baby Lou!  I will say the first few months after we had Ava it took awhile for Louie to adjust (FYI she is sweet but also high maintenance and a bit stubborn;)  but now I see such a sweet bond between the two of them!
My kind of Friday night 😉

Hands down the highlight of my days are just hanging with miss A! It’s not very often that she just sits still, so when I have her like this (even if its because The Muppets are on) it is the BEST feeling!

*On another note we’re looking to transition Ava into a bigger car seat so any recommendations you mamas have would be GREATLY appreciated!

  1. I grew up in Hungtinton beach & still never get tired of seeing the ocean! I always take the long way home from the gym so I can drive home down PCH. 🙂

Waiting for one of my friends to get engaged so I can partake in this! Dress shopping was my favorite part of the wedding planning process!

    xoox Shauna

  2. These pictures are beautiful! One of my good friends lives in Orange Country and I want to visit her just for the scenery 🙂 I have the Britax Advocate carseat, actually I have two of them since I have a 3 year old and a 2 year old. My baby is only 3 months, but I will probably end up getting another one when she is ready to transition. It has so many safety features that I love!!

  3. I'm doing research on convertible carseats right now too and think we're gonna go with the Diono Radian! I love how portable it is for travel, or for changing vehicles, and it converts into a booster seat too for up to 120 lbs. And totally not an important feature, but I love how it has a cupholder too haha!

  4. We just switched our little man to a convertible car seat at 6 months (we are insane and going on a 5 week road trip from FL-AZ and back). I went with the Diono RadianR120. I liked that it has a steel frame, narrow profile (you can fit 3 across) and that it would transition to a booster seat (I do not want to buy another car seat for this little guy!!). It has great reviews and we're very pleased. Bonus, little man is *much* happier on car rides now that he is out of his infant seat!

  5. that is so sweet what you say about not taking living in the OC for granted. I've been living here for around 4 1/2 years (I grew up in Argentina) and I remind myself I am in paradise everyday!

  6. Another fan of the Britax Marathon convertible car seat here. My oldest was 2 when I bought the first one after having had several but not quite liking them. When I had my second daughter (7 years later)it was the only seat to consider. Extra covers are available in case you don't like or get tired of the look. They must be comfy because I swear they loved to sleep in it. Enjoy moments with your little one – she's gorgeous.

  7. We just spent 4 days in your neck of the woods at a house in Newport Beach. It was so relaxing and fun to just walk to the beach for an hour or so in the morning. At home in San Diego we have to drive 30 minutes and deal with parking and it becomes an all day affair. I loved being able to walk to restaurants and ride bikes on the bike path past all the funky houses. What wonderful memories we made in the place you get to call home. The baby showed her appreciation by waking up for several hours every night. You win some, you lose some.

A little girls dinner in LA at new spot on 3rd called “Goldies”

My continued obsession with Trader Joes flowers. It’s always nice to receive a big arrangement of flowers but they are SO expensive and die within 5 days. I always tell my family if they want to buy me flowers hit up the grocery store or farmers market. There’s no sense in spending $60 when these beauties were only $4.99!

My little gargoyle Lou! Yes Lou is a girl and my husband hates that I gave her a boys name 🙂
I need an intervention because I’m obsessed with Dita sunglasses (I own this style in three colors! )

And for all my local ladies check out 370 Common Kitchen+Drink in Laguna Beach. Its a cute dinner spot with yummy cocktails! Their kale salad is SO good!

After months of holding out I finally cracked and bought myself these Casadei beauties! They fit like a glove and honestly aren’t as painful as they look. Definitely a classic pair i’ll wear for years.

We finally hit up Sprinkles Ice Cream (twice now;) Can you tell Miss Priss was eager to try hers! lol
and so thankful for this beautiful sunset shining through the June gloom a few weeks ago!

  1. aweeee lou! i love when she makes appearances on your blog and ig! she is sooo cute! and of course ava looks adorable!

  2. Andee- can I ask what colours you have the dita sunglasses in, and particularly what colour you are wearing in the pic? Also would love an outfit of the day post with the sunnies! 🙂 Thanks you look great

  3. ava is adorable and those shoes are to die for – can't wait for your ootds with them 😉

I also had a request – my boyfriend and I always go out to eat and sometimes it's not the healthiest place (my boyfriend loves buffalo wild wings like your hubby 🙂 so I was wondering if you could do a survival guide to eating out especially in places that don't have the healthiest options? I'm trying to revamp my eating habits with you as my inspiration but it's hard when the places you go to don't have many healthy dishes. thanks!

  4. Hi Andee! Love the post! Quick question, are your sunglasses the Dita Century? I fell in love with them and I'm trying to track them down 🙂

  5. Love the pics. This is my favorite baby stage. They are too adorable and just everything they do really brings out their personality. What is the lip color you wear in the pic with the sunglasses? So natural and perfect. btw, those sunglasses are the best ever and worth every penny

  6. I totally agree with you at adjusting to the idea of being a "Mom". My son Grey is 10 months this friday and its been so fun so far…He just said mama yesterday for the first time….its so wonderful and I love all your baby posts as they have definitely helped me along the way!! XOXO

Randomness Via the Camera Roll

Happy Monday ladies! Hope you all had a great weekend! Here are some random shots via the Camera Roll last week….

These L.A.M.B Black & White ankle straps are SEX-AY 😉 Outfit posts to come soon!

I have been wanting to try Dr. Hauschka products for quite some time now! I was super excited when I received the cleansing milk face wash and the regenerating eye cream from Charlestonnaturally.com a great site that sells only organic skin care products! I have an updated skin care post in the works and i’ll also keep you posted on how I like these as well!

Zara hands down has the best kids clothes! I try not to buy from there to often because they can be a little pricey but these little gladiator flats were just tooooo cute to pass up! I know A will be living in them this Spring and Summer!

If you follow The Honeybee on FB you probably saw these babies on there! Just one of the many little party inspirations i’ve been pinning for Ava’s first birthday. These little cupcake ice cream cones were actually pretty easy to make and yummy of course! For the pink cones I took frosting from the can and put it in a breast milk storage bag (unused of course 😉 and cut a small hole in the bottle to swirl the icing. For the white one I used one of those icing in a can with the little spray spout. I think I may go with that one for her party as it looks a little more like a real ice cream cone and not to mention was a lot less messy!

My current goodies…  I’ve been wanting the Hermes Hapi bracelet for a couple years now and I recently added it to my collection. I love the Clic Clac bracelet (The one with the “H” I’m sure you’ve seen lots of ladies sporting lately) but just felt like this one was more me. I also was looking into the Rivale and really love that style but when I tried it on it felt really cheap (and WAS NOT cheap so I passed on it and went with this one instead).
My poor Lou…I think she has finally adjusted to the fact she’s not the only baby anymore! That being said I think she gets MORE attention than she wants from little miss Ava 😉
I think shameless self portraits are supposed to be done when you’re alone, in the car, when no one is walking by lol…but they’re even better when you’re husband is driving and telling you you’re embarrassing him 😉

  1. love love love the heels!! Lou looks adorable and your husband made me lol – i can just imagine that situation! can be annoying at the time (my bf has done it) but later it seems rather comical! 🙂

  2. Oh my gosh, you are cracking me up with the self portrait (that's so me too) LOL. And gosh, seeing that pic of Lou breaks my heart cause that's something I worry about with our furry baby when we have our first baby! :'-( I've thought about getting another dog so she has a buddy, but I'm not sure if that will be good or just make things worse!? Let me know if you have any thoughts about that!! I know we've talked before about how needy our furry babes are!

    1. rachel are you prego?!!! Lou still gets lots of love and attention but the baby will definitely take up a lot more time. Now that Ava is into everything Louie is at the top of het list haha So she's getting way more than she wants right now 😉

  3. Love the shoes!!! What is that nude lip you are wearing in the last pic? Also, is it the same as the pic on your pinterest board? Love your blog!!!!

    1. thanks so much! It actually is the same lip (good eye 😉 its Nars Velvet matte lip pencil in Buenos Aires. I love those pencils and will be posting on them soon xo

  4. I love the baby sandals. They are so chic for babies!! Oh my. 😉 I've been missing pictures of baby Lou! And I know what you mean about the selfies! Taking them around loved ones is kinda embarrassing. haha

  5. I am excited to see you using Dr. Hauschka. I was always surprised that you don´t use natural cosmetics and especially Cetaphil with all his bad toxins surprised me. Very excited for your post.

  6. Hey Andee- love your posts! That bracelet runs strange in size- may I ask which size fit best for you? Love it!

  7. Ha!! I love how honest you are – my hubby too gets super embarrassed when I take shameless selfies in the car!! I sometimes like to do it just to bug him. It's even better when I try to take them of him while he's driving and he can't get away from me!! Those Zara shoes are to die for – it's amazing how much I'd rather buy my Viv cuter shoes than myself! Never thought I'd see the day until I had a little girl.
