The only thing on this list that I do not own is the Mac Fix +. It is something that I have been thinking about purchasing and wanted to know if you ladies like it?!  The other items are what I am currently using and LOVING! NYX lip liners are the best and super inexpensive. I love peekaboo neutral, Nude beige and Cabaret. I just started using Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation (used in yesterdays makeup look) and love it. That and Laura Mercier silk foundation are my go to full coverage foundation. For daytime I switch it up between Bobbi Browns BB cream and Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I used to love Khiels tinted moisturizer but it has since been discontinued ;( So I love Maybelline’s BB cream in medium as my drug store option.  For highlighting I still love Mac liquid strobe if I want a more glowing dewy look. I also use the liquid strobe to mix in with my foundation in the summer time. It sheers out the foundation and gives you an all over glow. If I want a powder shimmer I use Nars albatross. You can’t go wrong with the Nars blush and bronzer combo! I love the laguna/orgasm combo and it has lasted me forever!

Many of you asked about my liner from yesterdays post…its NYC liquid liner. I used to uses Macs liquid liner for years but love this one just as much and its only around $3! If you are just getting used to using liquid liner you may want to start with Macs as the tip is much more firm and better for beginners in my opinion.
I’ve posted on Clea de Peau’s concealer in the past and will say it is the BEST concealer. It is crazy expensive so don’t bother looking into this one unless you are willing to spend a pretty penny. That being said it has lasted me forever. I have some SERIOUS dark circles thanks to my sicilian genes so this is definitely a staple product for me.

*I have some other favorites i’ll post on soon as well as my skin care regime but these are my makeup staples! PLEASE PLEASE share your TOP beauty staples!

  1. Love these! My must-haves include MUFE Mat Velvet + foundation, Covergirl LashBlast and Benefit's They're Real mascaras, and Urban Decay setting spray. I could not be without those!

  2. Andee,

I cannot live without MAC fix+. I use it every single day and I think it is the only product I have consistently purchased for the last six years or so. It totally sets your makeup and uncakes it, if that makes sense. It provides a really nice illuminating glow and totally refreshes your makeup mid day or into the evening. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Also I love love love strobe cream for highlighting and mixing into foundation. Never tried the liquid but love the cream!

  3. I love the Estee Lauder double wear max coverage camoflauge foudation.. its a bit heavy to use for foundation, but it will cover ANYTHING, blemishes, dark cirlcles.. you name it. Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2, haven't used another set since I got those, and lancome definicils waterproof mascara. i keep going back, smudge proof, not flakey or cakey and it makes your eylashes look crazy long!

  4. I think you have sold me on that Bobbi Brown BB Cream 😉 love your idea of using lip liner under chapstick!
My favorites/must haves right now are Benefit Hoola Bronzer, UD Naked Palette, and the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments! The bronzer is perfect for contouring and gives me a nice natural looking tan and the sugar lips smell AMAZING!!! They provide UV protection and are packed w good stuff 😉 they have some great colors too! I realllly want to pick up Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, Bobbi Brown BB Cream, MAC Eyeshadows, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone and Illamasqua Blush in Lover.
What are some of your favorite MAC shadows?? Thanks for sharing your favs!!

  5. Great picks Andee! I just purchased the MAC Fix + and I have to say it's amazing, the only down side is that if you have oily/combination skin it will definitely make your skin look shiny. I only use 1 spray otherwise my skin does end up looking shiny within a couple of hours.

  6. I love L'Oreal voluminous mascara in Carbon Black and their black gel liner! It's amazing and super black–how it should be. I feel like L'Oreal is the top brand in the drugstore makeup department. I like Maybelline lip butters, and Revlon eye shadows and concealers! The best liquid liner I've tried is from Wet & Wild H2O Waterproof in black and it is around $3 or $4 as well! The tip is made of felt and it's like a marker! Very easy to apply and make crisp, black cat-eyes! I'm a poor grad student so I have to resort to the drugstore for my makeup needs. 😉

  7. I love Maybelline's full and soft mascara and Boxum gel liner. I have the EL foundation, but i find it to be too heavy so I use it as a concealer. I really want to get the Nars albatross highlighter and the Chanel loose powder to set my foundation.

  8. I was wondering if you ever thought about switching your skin care/make up to all natural products? I am always thinking about doing it but never really started it. It is just weird – we eat healthy but use tons of bad ingredients on our skin…

  9. I have been looking all over for a yellow concealer. My dark circles are rather purplish and I heard that you need to use an opposite color, but all I find is a very light skin color concealer that just makes my under eyes look whiter in a way but still darskish, do you know what I mean? I'd be open to try the green concealer as well… but I can't find them anywhere.

    1. i had the SAME problem! i tried the erase paste from benefit, after looking at Andee's blog and figured couldn't hurt to try, i got mine from Ulta since they have such an easy return policy (same w/ sephora) it was i think $26 and only need the tiniest bit and it does the job!!! i put it ontop of my foundation and use an eye cream instead of eye primer then set with a translucent powder…the cheaper option is by pixi sold at target for $15, similar peach concept for undereye cirlces, but its not as creamy so you have to warm it up on your fingers a bit…havent had any luck with any other concealer for undereye circles and i get them BAD!!!

  10. I use the Cle de Peau concealer, too, but do you find it a bit drying? I feel it's not as smooth and creamy as I'd like. Been LOVING Armani's Illuminating foundation and the illuminating tinted moisturizer from Laura Mercier, too! LOVE Mac's Haute and Naughty mascara, and I got a sample of the new Clinique mascara and LOVED it! I am usually not a Clinique fan, but this mascara is amazing!!!

  11. Thank you so much for sharing! What shades do you wear in Laura Mercier, Clea de peau, and Estee Lauder? Right now I'm really loving Stila's Illuminating BB cream! It gives a great glowy look!

  12. Every girl needs her beauty arsenal to look fab! I tried Estee Lauder's Double wear – looks great but I look like a girl who fell in a bag of flour in photographs taken with a flash!!!!! Sooooooooo embarassing!!! 😀 LOVE Cle De Peau's concealer too. Also been loving Armani's Maestro Foundation – perfect skin for a no makeup-makeup look. BTW – do you use the regular or the oil-free Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer?

  13. glad you have finally tried the Estee Lauder Doublewear foundation – it has been my fave for several years! at the moment I am using Clarins Everlasting mixed with Calvin Klein – i love this combination although started to use it purely for practical reasons – needed to get the right shade! 🙂 is still need to try out the Laura Mercier Silk foundation!

  14. The Fix+ is great. My skin is combination (normal/dry on cheeks and oilier in T-zone) I actually spray my makeup brush with it prior to putting on my foundation, I use all different kinds depending on the day but find this essential when using the Estee Laudee Double Wear since it is on the heavier side. It sheers it out a bit without compromising coverage. Than if it will be a long day I'll spritz at the end with a mist of the Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting mist. The Amazing Cosmetics concealer is awesome too. Don't know if you've ever tried it but I asked for a sample at Sephora a long time ago and it lasts a very long time as you only need the smallest amount. It's not that cheap but less expensive than the Clea de Peau and might be a more reasonable day to day option. BTW, loving the variety in your blog!

  15. Thx for sharing your beauty faves, Andee. Personally, I like Urban Decay's setting sprays better than Mac's Fix+. They don't make my skin look so shiny/greasy and really help any foundation I'm wearing last! Looking forward to your skincare post…. 🙂

  16. I might be a little late posting on this, but I would never spend too much on makeup. I would rather spend it on skin care, and once you achieve good skin you will you need very little to cover up, but if you let your skin go and/or in some cases let the makeup damage it, as I did since I started using makeup when I was 14, and a very bad/cheap makeup. It damaged my skin and even gave me the "smile" wrinkles around the lips. Trust me it takes forever to fix and you never get back to the way your skin used to be. So, now I mostly use mineral makeup and I would pretty much never buy anything to use it on my face unless it say anti-aging or unless it has some vitamins, and in some way is good for the skin. So, please be careful what you put on your face. Trust me, I know from experience :).

  17. Andee, I'm looking for a concealer that wouldn't be cakey under eye / go into creases…is the Clea de Peau's concealer light enough or..? would appreciate if you could let me know xoxo
