A Little More Christmas

If you ladies are ever in Southern California around Christmas time you HAVE TO stop in at The Grove in LA! I’ve been going there for years and its so magical during the holidays! I drove up to have dinner  with a girlfriend earlier this week and it definitely put me in the Christmas spirit!

I also added a little touch of Christmas 😉 to our coffee table. I had a bit of garland left over from our mantel so I mixed it in with my poinsettias in a wooden box tray we already had.
On another note there are a ton of gift lists going around right now but I wanted to share this special sentimental  gift idea I love. Its a Christmas book where you can record your voice telling the story. My mom gave it me a couple years ago (YES before I was even pregnant lol) and said it was for her future grandchildren. You can find them HERE. I think it will be a great gift for moms to give their babies as well! Im thinking of doing another for Ava with my voice recorded.

How about you ladies…Do you have any sentimental gift ideas you’re giving this year?! Im always on the hunt for new ideas!

  2. I've been to The Grove and will agree with you..it's very magical! I love your poinsettias! I think they might be my favorite Christmas decoration 🙂 and my mom does that exact thing..she buys books and says "for my future grandbabies" haha! I love the idea of those voice recording books tho! So so cute! You and your husband should take turns reading a story so she'll be able to hear both of your voices 🙂

  8. That is soooo friggin' cute! She's gonna LOVE that for years to come when the sound of mama's voice returns her to such an innocent and happy place! Have you seen those children's books where you can personalize the main characters so it reflects their name and hobbies??? It's soooo FAB babe, I made them for my nieces and nephews last year and they're still reeling over the fact that they have a book written after them!

Also- I’m hosting a décor-to-dress giveaway where 3 winners will WIN a fabulous frock of their choice just in time for the holidays! Hope you’ll stop by to enter the contest!

  10. Your blog is great, Andee! My daughter is 4mo old and your posts about baby products are so helpful. I am quite indecisive and take way too much time to decide on purchases, so your suggestions are much appreciated. Would you mind sharing where your coffee table is from? We bought our home back in June and I have yet to find one that I like. My husband is now getting quite frustrated with me and just wants me to pick one, but once again, I am WAY too indecisive, haha!
Thanks so much for sharing your blog!! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season 🙂

  11. What an adorable idea! I just passed this along to my MIL, who's expecting her first grandchild in two months. I know it's hard for her because they live away from us/my exepecting SIL. This could be such a great gift idea! Thank you!

  12. Andy, I know you live in Orange County, and the Grove is beautiful but I'm from Riverside. I love it here even though it doesn't get the best reputation. Anyways the day after Thanksgiving the historical Mission Inn throws a huge fireworks show and the "Festival of Lights" are turned on. The mission and surrounding historical strip Mall are covered in lights. There is an ice rink, different choirs and musical guests, theatre productions, and all of the upscale restaurants are open for the event. Since it is passed, the lights still go on every evening and keep going until early January. It is beautiful, you should definitely check it out!

  13. Your house looks absolutely spotless, I love your furniture and how you decorate! how do you keep your white furniture so clean with a baby?! please give me your secret 🙂

  14. You should do a room by room tour of your house. It is absolutely immaculate. Looks like your posting pictures from a magazine! I love your style and would love to get some ideas from how you decorate your house and where you find all these beautiful pieces!
